Something we've discovered about Marrowgar is that the coldflame never spawns within his hitbox. Last night we tried a new strategy stacking the entire raid (except the tanks) behind him just inside of his ring on the floor. The hunters were still far enough away from him for ranged damage, but no one got hit by flame and every spike was dead within 3 seconds. We got the Boned achievement.

This.Do this.Feels cheesy but it works.

Seeing how each player takes more dmg the closer one is to Marrowgar during his AoE attack, what approach does the raid take then when he begins this? Spread out, then collapse back in? Either way, I'll have to mention this approach next time we hit Marrowgar.

Something else to be aware of for Marrowgar during his Bone Storm phase is, if he targets you, simply pop deterence. It works nicely as it's cd seems to match up perfectly with him switching between phase 1 and 2 and so is almost always ready to go again should he target you again. Hell, even if he targets the toon next to yeah, do the same, your healers will thank you.

I question Chipersoft's note about hunters being inside the ring for Lord Marrogar. Other ranged, yes. Hunters? No. I've pew-pewed this fight at least 8 times and while hunters can get closer than we usually do (for melee to contribute on spikes), we go to auto-melee-mode long before we get close to the ring.
