Sunday Morning Funnies: We're long
This week's list is huge. Massive. You have to click through the break to even see it! But I warn you: before you do, you might want to make some preparations. Cancel whatever you have scheduled today.
Make a pot of coffee.
Do some stretches; long bouts of sitting are unhealthy.
Feed the cats. Let the dog out.
Seriously, this list is big. It's unruly!
P.S. I tried to get you guys a good Long Cat picture but I failed you all. Maybe next time? Yes. Next time.
In a related note, I have a distaste for the new way to search through the icanhascheezburger site.
Ready? Set. Go!
- The Daily Blink: A Word from Our Sponsor. I heartily enjoy this comic. So, I'll link this one too: Survey Says.
- The Daily Blink: Our Sister Publication and Dude, Like, I Just Totally Dinged.
- New! The Warcraft Hero in: The Hero's New Cloak.
- Battlemasters: To the ground, baby!
- WoW, eh: Welcome to the Jungle. I wonder if they have fun and games?
- NPC: Big Boned. Also, Binkfield and To Meter, or Not to Meter. Actually, meters have been a hot topic lately, since so many people are using the Dungeon Finder Tool. Check out Christian Belt's Why I Hate DPS Meters when you get a chance, and for a poignant comment on heal meters, check out Arbolamante's comment, as well as others, on that article. Yay fat Bink!
- Torment of the Week: Die Responsibly.
- Equinox and Prototype.
- Complex Actions: Children's Rhymes II: Show and Tell. This isn't quite the latest, but the newest comics still have no perma-links (hint hint).
- The latest from Guilded Age, which is a comic influenced by WoW, as well as other games.
- Teh Gladiators: An Epic Charge Ends in Tears.
- LFG #323 and #324.
- Beyond the Tree: A Miner Disappearance. Puns!
- On the Dark Legacy Comics main page, there's an adorable filler cartoon because Keydar has started physical therapy. I especially enjoy the fact that he took the time to draw a heart. /tear. I can't snag a perma-link just yet, unfortunately, and by the time you might be reading this, the main page might have something else, because, as so many of you like to cleverly and continuously point out, Sunday Morning Funnies publishes in the morning, while DLC does not.
- Daily Quest: You Two Play Nice. I love the "slow-mo."
- NoObz: Don't Change a Winning Team.
- The Adventures of Disgraph T. Dwarf: Ding Dong Lich. Which old Lich? The wicked Lich! (I hope that I haven't gotten your hopes up for some sort of The Wizard of Oz-themed WoW-related Disgraphian adventure, because you'd be disappointed).
- The Adventures of Disgraph T. Dwarf: The (L)edge of Deception. These two got me laughing hard.
- Cru the Dwarf: Back and to the Left. If that little boy was teasing her because he had a little crush on her, it so backfired.
- Slash AFK: Frost-MORE.
- Experience Points: Resolutions.
- Admit it: you miss Christmas/etc just a little bit, right? Yeah? So here's one that slipped through the cracks: Action Trip: This Year's Xmas Dream.
- Awkward Zombie: Dragging Along.
- Monkey Punchers: The Itch.
- More WoW-related goodness from Ebenezer and Snooch.
- Penny-Arcade: The Bright Side.

Surely you mean you "has" a distaste.
Agony Jan 24th 2010 1:49PM
Or should it be, "i can haz distaste"?
(ducking heavy, pointy objects being hurled my way)

"because, as so many of you like to cleverly and continuously point out, Sunday Morning Funnies publishes in the morning, while DLC does not."
Ever thought of changing it? DLC is the only reason people come here anyway (you know it's true)
I love how even in physical therapy, Keydarr is still streets ahead

Yes, because Sunday Mid-afternoon Funnies or Sunday Nighttime Funnies just screams cleverness, eh? I certainly remember waiting until 8 at night to read Garfield when I was a kid.
...
I joke, but still.

Wow, way to be a dick to all the other cartoonists featured here. I know a lot of the comics here have a lot of time and dedication put into them, some downright hilarious and others with beautiful artwork (myself excluded from the artwork comment). Pretty sure the point of this feature is to showcase the work of all the webcomics related to WoW.
If the only reason you come here is to see Dark Legacy (and you know its true) why don't you just cut out the middle man, skip Sunday Morning Funnies and just go to Dark Legacy?
I bet even Donald could figure that out.
Azarizotza Jan 24th 2010 3:54PM
I see what you did there.
Bubsa in fact HATES Keydarr. He has for quite some time. It's obvious as he stood up for Keydarr despite Keydarr saying anything.
His real plot was to establish a situation in which people would defend the other cartoonists and in their furious rage would turn DLC into an unwitting target for internet hate.
He missed one tiny detail, I have to admit it was ingenious, I would have missed it myself if I wasn't looking for it. Why would people come to a Sunday Morning Segment that features many a comic just when they can go to the direct link? And his back handed comment trying to get us to question the ridiculousness of that concept "(You only come here because you want to see DLC [though that is ridiculous, you know it's true])"
WITH A KEEN EYE FOR DETAILS ONLY ONE TRUTH PREVAILS! I WILL PROTECT YOU MISS RAN! *soccer ball kick*
But being one of the artists on that list, I will admit I'm slightly hurt by the fact that you think my comic is a waste of internet space. I will admit, I'm just learning how to build a fire while Keydarr is in his hovercar driving to the top of a snowless global-warmed mountain in the future, getting on his hoverskis and breaking his collarbone by hitting a malfunctioning holo-hover-tree. I hope he gets better soon, as he is just one of many of my inspiration among this list.
Bubsa Jan 24th 2010 7:37PM
I never trash talked any of the other comics. I happen to think some of them are quite good as well, such as NPC.
I just think DLC is much, much better. How you got "That means the other comics are crap" from that is beyond me.
But yeah, winning attitudes on show here.
Agony Jan 24th 2010 8:09PM
"I never trash talked any of the other comics."
Really. Okay, I'm willing to submit that it may have been a misunderstanding on the part of other people here, but let's be democratic about this.
"AYE" or "NAY"...how many people thought that the phrase, "DLC is the only reason people come here anyway (you know it's true)" pretty much stated that all of the other comics are substandard, crap, or not worth the effort to read?
I'll get the ball rolling...
AYE!
Azarizotza Jan 24th 2010 10:14PM
Well, Agony though I appreciate the gesture, a vote on what people think doesn't make it correct or incorrect. All of science's problems would be solved if we could just vote on what is more appealing to the voters to be the truth.
"DLC is the only reason people come here anyway (you know it's true)"
Yes, saying that is much like saying "Oh everyone who came to this Metallica Concert is only here to see Metallica, and none of the headliners" Yes, that may be true, but this segment isn't called DLC and everyone is headlining. This is Sunday Morning Funnies. There is no direct truth to your opinion and therefore cannot be stated as the truth. Therefore the opinion you have stated is stated in such a way to imply the truth, if it isn't explicitly stated in the segment name, all that is left is that you feel that all the other comics aren't worth your time and that it is the direct truth.
BRB with PT 2. In the middle of a Raid.
Keyra Jan 24th 2010 11:08PM
"Oh everyone who came to this Metallica Concert is only here to see Metallica, and none of the headliners"
But this, of course, begs the question: what would actually force someone to willingly, and on purpose, go to a Metallica concert?
Azarizotza Jan 24th 2010 11:20PM
Metallica maybe? I dunno I just said Metallica because I was watching the end of Josie and the Pussycats

Hi, Amanda!
I posted this on last week's, but it was late into the week so you may not have seen it.
Tokkar (the guy who made the "Quest: Impossible" machinima) is making WoW comics using the characters he created for that movie.
His website's not completely fleshed out yet, but it's still up and working if you want to check them out.
"Tales from the Crossroads"
The first comic is here:
http://xroads.myplus.org/wordpress/?p=44
The most recent one (and the end of the current story arc, it looks like) is here:
http://xroads.myplus.org/wordpress/?p=75
Tokkar Jan 24th 2010 2:06PM
Thanks for the plug, Keyra!
The website's S-L-O-W-L-Y coming along, but the comics are up...and have PERMALINKS! :-)
Azarizotza Jan 24th 2010 2:17PM
