BattleCry mosaic feature revealed: "Invincible"
Another portion of the BattleCry mosaic was revealed on Friday, bringing the total completed to 50%. This time, instead of unlocking a piece of art, Blizzard gave us something a little more special -- a 3-minute piece of music titled "Invincible" recalling the leitmotif of the Wrath of the Lich King trailer. Blizzard rather cryptically describes it thusly:
An ode to one who has fallen. Time and events have left it unclear whether the song refers to the former prince of Lordaeron or his beloved steed.
Cryptic or not, this is a beautiful piece of music, and one we're hoping appears in-game soon. Staffers here have guessed that "Invincible" might play either during or after the much-anticipated fight with the Lich King himself, and we're quite likely to see one whopper of a lore moment and cutscene. Fingers crossed, but until then, I'm going to enjoy playing this in Icecrown, and I'd kill to hear a rendition with a full chorus and symphony, perhaps at some social convention said to take place yearly...but surely that's just crazy talk.

If I wasn't already on pins and needles to find out how this plot arc ends, this would push me over the edge. As it is, my heart is racing at the possibilities.
There is only one word for this piece of music: EPIC.
It also sounds ultimately...triumphant...happy...hopeful... The reason for those emotions is the big question, of course... I can't wait to see the cinematic!

This will probably be played at Arthases funeral :D
It strikes me as music played for deceased! :D

Oh man, this is beautiful. I can just see Arthas burying Invincible to this music.

Each piece of music that is released with WoW becomes that much more hair-raising than the last. Trully a beautiful piece.

This music is so bittersweet. It's sad and hopeful, full of regret and determination. I'm really interested to see where and how exactly this song will be used. Right now, for me, it's sort of come to represent all the suffering and tragedy that surrounded the fall of Arthas. I listen to it whenever my guild is raiding ICC, to get into the mood. lol

I can't believe it, but I actually cried. I have never been so moved by a piece of music before.

Of course, the beauty of the post-kill cutscene and the effect of the song is gonna be lost on you when your Vent is filled with screams, people bragging out their DPS, arguments about loot, and idiots who can't shut up and let those of us who actually CARE about the story enjoy the ending to one of the longest and most influential storylines in series history.

This is in my head...
Upon killing Arthas (0 HP), it triggers the cut scene.. In slow motion Arthas falls, souls lifting from him and the shattered/dropped Frostmourne. Each being released for a final rest. Center and closeup of the now helmet-removed (he drops it remember?) Arthas-Nerzul as memories of his past deeds drift (ie. His life flashes before his eyes). This would span, for Lore Fans, almost the entire novel in short little pieces. Finally, his last thought and release is him riding off, as a boy, on Invincible... free of the Lich King itself.

Obviously, the meaning of the song is that Invincible becomes the new Lich King.
What.

I really enjoyed this music. Can't wait to hear it in the game!

Damn. That is the kind of music you hear in a good epic story when a hero dies. I hear that kind of music when reading books like "Lord of the Rings" and "Dragonlance: Legends." It is the kind of music fit for the Lament of Gandalf by the Elves after Gandalf dies or the passing of Flint Fireforge or the death of Arthas.

The language is Thalassian and Latin c:
They sing something like "Long live the king, may he rule forever, may his power never fail him"!
