Around Azeroth: Ugly to the bone
Well, I think we've found the winner of this month's Most Hideous Gear award. This bank alt of Azmodan on Aerie Peak-EU is truly a symphony in blue, yellow and red. Wait, a symphony? Scratch that. Replace it with "a terrifying conglomeration of a paladin, a mutant ant, and an Insane Clown Posse fan club." Remember, just because the outfit technically matches doesn't mean that you should wear it.
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, Val'kyr on mounts, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran. Older screenshots can be found here.

Oookay ... I recognise the level 60 pvp gear ... but what in the name of Murloc Jesus is that helmet?
Aceman67 Jan 26th 2010 1:28AM
Its TBC Badge gear, and is actually a great DPS Plate Helmet and I used for a long time till I finally found something to replace it.

ZA gear was so, so ugly.
wraith Jan 26th 2010 12:01AM
Yep, was buyable badge gear following ZA's release. Always made me think of if The Joker and Venom fused, you'd get that.

We've had so many troll-centric dungeons (Zul'Farrak, the Sunken Temple, Zul'Gurub, Zul'Aman, Drak'tharon Keep, Zul'drak, Gundrak) ... what I want to see is a murloc-centric dungeon. I want a severed murloc head as a helmet.
... or maybe I just want murlocs as a playable race.
Mwrrglrrgllrll!

My dream is a EQ1 homage murloc dungeon named Muk, featuring an insane tauren, an undead green dragon and lots and lots and lots of murlocs rushing at you in giant waves, preceded by an NPC of your own faction running past and yelling "Sorry! RUN FOR IT!"

I used to get some crazy tells when I wore that helmet, and my guild dubbed me "The Crazy Murloc".
Loved it, especially the eye glow trail it leaves behind too.
Also, Lv70 DKs - Listen up, grab this helmet, its great for leveling, as you won't find a good replacement till you start running heroics. And put some Epic STR gems in it.
Fletcher Jan 26th 2010 1:50AM
... just turn off helm display first. :D
Andrew R. Jan 26th 2010 10:07AM
Aceman,
While it is a nice helmet it's not worth running the heroics to get the badges. Yes you will get the exp from heroics but you also have to find a willing group to run said BC heroics. You're better off just leveling to 80 and getting an upgrade in the level 80 heroics.

At the appropriate level all you'd have to do is use the LFG tool. I use it all the time on my lvl. 65 Death Knight. No need to search for willing people.

If I'm not mistaken, that sword is a final reward for the Sceptre of the Shifting Sands questline. Which is an absolutely huge investment.
Zable Jan 26th 2010 10:33AM
I think it may actually be Maladath, Runed Blade of the Black Flight. Drops from BWL and shares a model. Really an awesome-looking sword, either way.
Scott Jan 26th 2010 10:32AM
A paladin with Tailoring as a prof? That cloak enchant must really shine.
Bronwyn Jan 26th 2010 1:45PM
They said it's a bank alt.
vexis58 Jan 27th 2010 1:41AM
That's an awful lot of effort for a bank alt.
Rafa Jan 26th 2010 10:36AM
oh come on people !!!
I'm not THAT ugly..
the armor is dungeon1 set,
the helm is badges, and the sword is from BWL..
I will post more pics, see what you think about it.
Jacen Jan 26th 2010 10:47AM
Take it easy. The mask looks like a murloc with clown paint...murlocs can look insane. Clown paint + insane murloc = statement about insane clown posse. I don't think this was an attack on your taste at all.
Bren Jan 26th 2010 10:48AM
Acting like this is definitely a good way to make people respect you and what you believe in. Nicely done.
Michael Jan 26th 2010 10:48AM
...what the hell?
snarkygoldfish Jan 26th 2010 10:51AM
...I think your capslock key is broken.
You might want to get that checked out.
