Well, to be fair we don't know exactly when endothermic properties came into the dinosaur line. We're fairly sure it would have had to be early (since our own therapsid ancestors and relatives like the gorgonopsids were warm blooded and competed with early dinosaur relatives after the Permian extinction) but we know that Alligators and Crocodiles are also fairly closely related to dinosaurs (almost as closely as birds) and they're not warm blooded.
