This armor looks so much better than the PvE tier 10! Jealous.
Heilig Jan 27th 2010 4:55PM
That Paladin set is up there with T2 in my book. It just screams Hand of the Light. not like our current burning skull demon armor. Very class-appropriate, that :/
Possum Jan 27th 2010 4:20PM
Pity Christmas is over, that mage would look good hanging from my tree!
Jal Jan 27th 2010 4:21PM
It's ok. But seriously, that warrior set is idiotic. How are you supposed to protect your skull from being crushed in?
Tell me that Blizzard.
devilsei Jan 27th 2010 4:41PM
Silly Jal, warriors don't worry about their skulls though, it just holds their brain, nothing important.
Hates Jan 27th 2010 4:53PM
He runs.....oh wait, he can't, no boots, only painted socks......goofy look Blizz
Wildcat0695 Jan 27th 2010 4:21PM
The mages and rogues look the best, followed by paladins. To bad paladins have the side shoulder blinders. I guess they don't need to look around.
Why does the hunter helm look like it it was LeForge inspired with the huge blinder across the eyes? Are hunters going to be able to see minerals and infrared?

My pally's PvP shoulders just keep getting taller and taller and taller. :(
Wildcat0695 Jan 27th 2010 4:48PM
It's a hidden paladin nerf.
Scott Jan 27th 2010 4:51PM
After seeing the Hunter helm I felt a sudden urge to watch 'The Fly.'
Eddy Jan 27th 2010 4:53PM
I was thinking about that, in regards to the hunter helm. I wonder if it blacks out your screen in the first person camera mode?
Tomatketchup Jan 27th 2010 5:19PM
Is it only me that thinks of the Riftstalker tier set when I saw the hunter's PVP set?

It looks to me like Blizzard has officially jumped the shark on the whole "huge shoulders" thing with Paladin Season 8 shoulders. They've literally become just a huge wall on both sides of the head. Hopefully they get their Huge Shoulders thing out of their system after this, and start doing small ones that look good without being huge. It's not the size of the shoulders, it's the motion of the arms.

I wonder how they'll look in action. I know that my Furious Scaled Shoulders already look like they're chopping off my poor little head sometimes when I move in certain ways...
Alanid Jan 27th 2010 8:02PM
The lock set looks like it was made of 50% Awesome 49% Badass and 1% Chutney. Us paladins just can't get enough of the shoulders. Standard paladin regulation: Shoulderplates must either be extremely glowing or twice the size of your head - failure to keep to these regulations will force us to write a very angry letter to you.

Mage set... is... is...

On a another note, I understand the convenience, but why do they always use human male models? I mean, human males don't even need, say, a shaman or druid set, so why "fit" them for it, you know?
Then again, if it was any other race people would be like: "They used Tauren for druid model not NE!" and they look so different, I understand the problem there...
anyway lets us return to
/drool
Eddy Jan 27th 2010 4:57PM
Well, I believe there's a lot of evidence to back up the idea that white males are the default for just about everything conceivable and that any application that needs an icon that represents "person" it will use something that looks white and male. I guess this is just taking that one step further- that in a world of other races, the default is still the white human male.
I mean, they could come up with a set- male orcs are the default DKs, female night elves the default Druids... they could even use the armory data they must have to find the most common gender/race combination for that class to actually give a majority the idea what their character would look like.
RogueJedi86 Jan 27th 2010 5:20PM
Mage looks like a Blue Jawa to me.
Moorit Jan 27th 2010 5:29PM
Totally agree. I might actually have to learn to PvP so I can get this stuff.
What do you know, a helm I might not hide!
