I was inspired by the time travel talk from
last Friday's The Queue. If you were able to kill Arthas while doing the
Culling of Stratholme; you would prevent him from becoming The Lich King, but would cause a much faster spread of the plague. It reminded me of this
great piece of short fiction, where going back in time to kill Hitler prevents time travel from becoming possible and is therefore strictly forbidden.
I'd like to go back in time and help
Mankrik's Wife escape her violent and lonely death. Do we really need another reason to slaughter those nasty boar humanoids? Besides, I bet she had some really great quests that we missed out on.
If you could go back in
WoW time and change something, what would it be? What do you think the ramifications of your change would be?

Abort Garrosh, duh.
Darkseid Jan 28th 2010 8:06AM
Dang it, I was about to say the same thing! LOL
Result: EVERYONE.........Horde...Alliiance....EVERYONE....is happy, and they join together in a lasting joint force against the Burning legion and Scorge.
In fact, I'm startnig to wonder if Garroth isn't The Lich King's ultimate weapon against the living...

undo faction changing services. getting really annoying on my server with a bunch of trolling little pricks switching to hordeside and filing up my damn trade chat worse than it ever was.
Falgorn Jan 28th 2010 9:03AM
I would go back Eon's to when they were crafting the halls of stone and add in more 'security dialogue'....
'Security breach detected, tell the Hunter not to stand in the massive lazer beam currerntly ticking for a quarter of his health'...
Or I would go back to when they were building Ironforge and make the trench slightly less wide.
Fletcher Jan 28th 2010 10:23AM
Nah, really the trench should be made wider. It's not a very good security measure if anybody with a mount can jump across it!
Falgorn Jan 28th 2010 11:23AM
Well it's hardly much of a detterent now given that you can hop onto the train right smack bang into the middle of Ironforge.
I can just imagine them defending the King:
"Alright everyone, the trench has been widend - just stand on this side and throw rocks at anyone who approaches... Huzzah they shall NEVER reach the throne room"
No. 6 train from Stormwind arrives...
Quest log
"King Magni Bronzebeard Defended 0/1 : Quest Failed"
.... but ... the ... trench....

Abort? No, no sense wasting such a potentially useful pawn. Hit him early and often with mind control magic and brainwashing so I can use him(and through him, the Horde) as a means to defend Azeroth and, eventually, take the fight to the Legion themselves and start exterminating the bastards? Yes, that would do quite nicely I think. Naturally I'd have to do the same to Varian as well(or have a trusted friend do so). It'd be rather silly to leash one dangerous animal only to have another equally vicious beast on the loose, not to mention the additional resources the Alliance would add when properly influenced.
This, naturally would only end with my becoming a dungeon(or if I'm really lucky, Raid) boss, to be eternally beaten about by people looking to bust me open like a loot pinata.
Sometimes, being the Big Damn Hero really *sucks*.
Erzfiend Jan 28th 2010 8:06AM
The title makes me think of the episode of South Park entitled "Fun with Weapons."
But I think we all know only one thing can come of time travel, or meddling with the past/present/future:
"Snake! You've created a Time Paradox!"
I fully endorse this.
Darkseid Jan 28th 2010 8:07AM
Oh, and I'd go back and smack whoever designed the Tauren cat form...
Again...the world would rejoice.
blindlinus Jan 28th 2010 8:09AM
/agreed.
(also, my previous comment wasn't meant to be a reply, but w/e)
Zalvi24 Jan 28th 2010 8:30AM

the sparten Jan 28th 2010 12:07PM

yujie.max Jan 28th 2010 8:10AM
Kill the person who would pioneer Barrens Chat.
Josh Jan 28th 2010 8:39AM
Killing is a bit strong in this case, but I guess "Caverns of Time: Politely Encourage Chuck Norris to Pursue a Career Outside of Martial Arts" is a bit of a mouthful. I don't think it would catch on. Although...
[2. Trade] [Xdoomdkx]: LM2M CoT: PECNtPaCOoMA, need healer and sum1 who can make working an office job sound really cool
nullstate Jan 28th 2010 1:06PM
And here I thought Chuck Norris jokes were old... that is some epic comment win. I lol'd.
Maymer Jan 28th 2010 3:36PM
CC would come back...not as crowd control mind you
It would be called a Chuck Convincer
"LF geared Chuck Convincer, need 7k GS and prefered Lumbergh class specced in Human Relations.....that would be greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat".
Wulfkin Jan 28th 2010 8:12AM
I would go back in time and alter the events of the Battle of Darrowshire, just to help mend the heart of a little dead girl.
Oh wait I already did.
In that case I'd just travel back in time and give Chromie a hug!
William S Kent Jan 28th 2010 8:14AM
Pamela Redpath...I'd go back and save Pamela Redpath.
Vickitt Jan 28th 2010 9:57AM
On a similar note, I would change the mechanics of the Mr. Floppy's Perilous Adventure in Grizzly Hills.
Why can't I kill the wolf before it attacks Mr. Floppy? Why?!
(And I feel like a moron for just now making the Peter Rabbit connection.)
Gurluas Jan 28th 2010 8:18AM
I'd probably help evacuate alot of high elves, that way the high elves would probably be enough for a playable race.
Or perhaps prevent the blood elves from getting entangled in the horde and kill the emmisary from Kael who taught them how to use fel magic.
Would probably be easy, i mean the guy just melees with his staff.
