It came from the Blog: Elwynn Extravaganza
Last month, It came from the Blog ran from Orgrimmar to Elwynn Forest in order to punch Hogger and play at the Darkmoon Faire. We took the zeppelin to Grom'gol and then ran north through Stranglethorn Valley and into Duskwood. Continuing north, bypassing the mountains, we crossed the river into Elwynn Forest. Hogger was downed multiple times and there were hijinx to be had at the Faire.
Of course, it was not all fun and games. Whereas most of the lowbies were protected, the stragglers were eaten by fierce jungle fauna. And we could have done without the Alliance funsuckers who KSed Hogger as well as preyed on flagged and naked lowbies. But overall it was a good time.
Below is the gallery for the Elwynn Extravaganza. Stay tuned for the Winter Veil and Battleground Bonanza II galleries.

Definitely looks like you all had a good time. Fun for all, yes? :D
And, not to sound rude, but what were the lowbies doing flagged? I don't condone lowbie camping for any reason, but one kill to tell them 'hey, turn off your flag' wouldn't necessarily be out of line.

The problem was that the Alliance were purposely getting within range of attacks, so that the lowbies were accidentally getting flagged. When you are deep in enemy territory on a PvE server, the enemy players are Yellow, not Blue, and are therefore accidentally attackable.

No level ones have any attacks that can accidentally hit nearby flagged players.
Your lowbie hordies were intentionally flagging, or intentionally attacking flagged characters.
Hogger's still deep in territory that doesn't autoflag characters as well.
Stop trying to push the blame on the Allies... remember, your event invaded and lagged their normal server -

Hi Brew!
I'm sorry that I did not explain the raid in full here. This was not a normal level 1 Hogger raid. There were people there of all levels. So these were lowbies in the sense of being less than level 20.
Also, if you run in front of an enemy player while he is trying to rightclick a mob, he will attack you instead. Since we were all fistfighting, we weren't using AOE attacks or anything like that.
Certainly all of the Alliance did not come and grief us; there were only a handful. But those handful were there, on mounts, in a remote part of the zone, where there were no questers at that time, purposely trying to suck our fun.
And lastly, if you look at the gallery, you will see low level Alliance who came just to hang out and be friendly.
I did not state or imply that ALL Alliance were to blame for trying to rain on our parade, just the funsuckers who did.

Your're expecting this site not to have a Horde bias? You must be new.
Joseph Smith Jan 28th 2010 11:01PM
The problem wasn't alliance in general, it was the funsuckers who happen to play alliance. Had it been an alliance party in horde territory, there would have been horde funsuckers there doing the same thing.
Funsuckers know no faction bounds.
Or tl:dr, it's not a bias towards hordes, the horde funsuckers couldn't grief the lowbies.

I messed up the time and missed this...I'll be there for the next!

Hi Robin,
You do a great job on running "It came from the Blog" and I completely understand you can only choose one side for the guild, but as a die-hard alliance paladin, I could not allow a horde grouping to come into Elwynn Forest to the Darkmoon Faire without at least forming some kind of offensive.
Not that I actually could, I'm on EU server and it's all about Alliance Pride, hope you guys have a great time and any alliance players on the server take it up to defend Elwynn!!!

What a nice group of folks. So much better than the cynical, bitter stuff that pops up.
I ran a CoS H a couple of weeks of ago and low and behold I saw someone from your guild.

I'm sure that if a group of Alliance players attempted this outside Razor Hill, the response from the Horde would have been cheering, well-wishing, rainbows and sunshine.
Ahem.

and cookies! The Horde love to bake cookies for special occasions. :)
xoxotl Jan 28th 2010 8:52PM
"Hey, should these cookies I got from that Goblin be ticking?"
Al Jan 28th 2010 8:53PM
It's people! Horde cookies are made out of people!
xoxotl Jan 29th 2010 12:20AM
Cookies made out of people? Finally, a good use for Perry Gatner.
"Hey, does this cookie taste funny to you?"

Any Horde that enters MY territory is going to get a mace to the face. I can think of a couple of well known wow players that walk into enemy territory and act like the opposing fraction won't attack them. Its silly to think Alliance/Horde wouldnt snipe a pvp opportunity no matter the occasion or person.
Joseph Smith Jan 28th 2010 11:06PM
Zangarmarsh is a PvE server, so it's unlikely you could go and bash them in the face.
As they were engaging on non PvP activities, there would be no need to either.
Brew Jan 29th 2010 1:47AM
Ahh, you must have missed the lowbies who flagged before they even left Org in the pics. That's asking for trouble, on any server.
Beau de Noir Jan 29th 2010 3:54AM
Leveling on a player versus environment server, and imitate “dangerous adventures on the territory of our big Enemy” … soooo .. pantaloonery.
