Trinkets are easy. You can buy a 245 verion with badges. You can buy a 264 version with badges.
Weapons and shields are much, much worse.

@Scott: Did you somehow miss this entire discussion taking place in the context of caster trinkets? Roll any sort of caster and try to fill those two slots with something of actual use, then get back to us.

Yep, because if you're a caster who is already at the hit cap, there's nothing more appealing then a trinket with 128 hit on it!
The caster badge trinket is AWFUL. So awful that it's useless for everybody but a healer who wants to DPS in healing gear and needs a lot of hit in a hurry.
That's the problem people are talking about here. The tank trinket is alright, the healer trinket is alright. The caster trinket is outright useless for any serious DPS.
