Bliz should just make the authenticators mandatory already, forum whiners be damned. They're cheap, easy to use, and highly effective, even for luddites. No reason not too, and would save tons of headaches for both Blizzard and the playerbase.

My GF got hacked trough a facebook Keylogger (someoneone else actually got it while using her comp) she's been waiting for over 3 weeks now with no news whatsoever.
I wish I had bought the damn authenticators.
Making them mandatory is a necessity imo. All the scammers/hackers can fuck people up way too easilly nowadays and they're everywhere.

Yeah, sure. As soon as they start shipping them to my country and many other European countries.

@Zhiva: It's unfortunate they're not available outside the US, but I understand European WoW is run on a different system/network/whatever than US WoW. I would hope Bliz could at least make them mandatory on the US network, while working on solving whatever problems (encryption export controls?) prevent their export to EU and other countries.

I encourage all those that can to get an authenticator. They really do make your account far more secure than not. I just strongly encourage Blizzard not to fall into the trap of making them mandatory. There are better answers. It's a sinkhole I'm not sure even Blizzard could recover from. And I'm not even including logistics into that quagmire of problems if they were mandatory.

@Byron's second post
The authenticators ARE available outside the US. It's just that the EU store doesnt ship to every county. A lot of eastern europeans would be able to use that, they just cant get the damn things shipped.
Frankly, it needs to be looked at. In the meantime, if there's a guildie they trust who lives in a shippable country, they can have them order one and then reimburse them overpaypall.
The best solution though would be to just to ship them with cataclysm boxes.

Sorry to hit you with this here but you tend to post as replies and so I can't reply to them. I am interesting in using your DK 5-man Tanking suggestions but wanted to know if you think this would be okay for solo questing as well or if I should fork over the 1k for dual spec?

Hi wdm, if you're referring to my Frost tanking suggestions, it can solo regular quests just fine, but not the various group quests and elite mobs in Northrend. For the latter you need a Blood tank build.
Frost 5man guide: http://epicadvice.com/questions/3099/death-knight-dual-spec-which-tree-to-tank-heroics/3109#3109
Blood soloing build: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#jcEMqI0IsbMbssxhxZ0g:GipM0m
The Frost spec/playstyle depends on having a healer, but gives you more snap AoE threat than any other build, making it perfect for 5mans or leveling with a healer buddy.
The Blood spec provides the best possible self-healing, which is required for soloing hard group quests and elites, but the threat ramp up is not nearly as fast as Frost, making it more challenging to tank 5mans with trigger-happy AoE-spamming DPS.
Once you get >5000 gearscore, then even the Frost spec can solo most world mobs and group quests, though. Just use Death Strike in place of Obliterate when you need to heal, and use your cd's.
