Sorry but that's a terrible metaphor for what happened. Say you walk into a shop and buy a bunch of stuff. One of the newest items, for whatever reason, didn't scan properly and you got half price on it. That would be ok if it happened once and you didn't notice. But if you kept coming back and buying the same item for half price, that would be abuse.

Now I don't know if Ensidia found out and began to abuse it, but they say it was in an easy phase and the Lich King would have gone down anyway.
