Jay Mohr is hosting BlizzCon again
Love him or hate him, it looks like Jay Mohr is hosting BlizzCon again this year. Recently, we reported that the Anaheim Convention Center would be hosting BlizzCon toward the end of October. But there has been nothing official from Blizzard at this time.
Of course, we will keep you up to date with any information we receive about BlizzCon in general and Jay's announcement in particular.
Update 6:00pm: It looks like he has deleted the tweet.

Let's hope he's more sober this time.
Jeff Feb 4th 2010 5:46PM
So I wasn't the only one who thought he looked drunk on stage.
Timothy Feb 4th 2010 5:54PM
It's called being nervous.
Ninkasi Feb 4th 2010 6:04PM
the more drunk the better imo

What normal person does anything sober?
lawnmowerasassin Feb 4th 2010 6:17PM
I thought he's done a great job the past two years, and especially last year. I know he was very upset after last Blizzcon because of people accusing him of not being sober. He had even tweeted shortly after the last one that he wasn't going to host again if they asked because of people's accusations. In short, he's a great host and we should appreciate that he's willing to put himself out there to get a few laughs.

I was about in tears when he was hitting on the the chick in the costume contest... hehehe
Saffi Feb 4th 2010 9:28PM
Why, do you think it would improve his performance?
I don't know if he's actually a WoW fan, but think he did okay at the last BlizzCon.
ROB13 Feb 4th 2010 5:45PM
Hooray!

Jay Mohr is awesome. This new is awesome.

From what I read, after the last time, and the negative comments he recieved, he went on a radio show a few days later, and trashed BlizzCon, trashed the game, trashed the fans. And said he knows nothing about the game, but has learned to bullshit it.
This isn't just rumor, either. He posted negative comments on his site afterwards, as well.

I don't know how he was in '09 but I found him to be a little gamer-hating and bland in '08. Hopefully he was better?

I can think of 2 candidates who should host next year's Blizzcon and subsequent years:
1. Felicia Day - pending she has time away from The Guild to do it
Or
2. Conan O'Brien - he's poked fun at nerds and geeks during his monologues, I'd think he'd fit in.

I'm with Coco!
Nazgûl Feb 4th 2010 6:07PM
Why would we want somebody who makes fun of us at our convention? I've always found O'Brien to be in horribly poor taste and generally unfunny myself, Mohr is certainly a better choice.
Although my personal preference would be Neil Patrick Harris.
Starsmore Feb 4th 2010 6:09PM
And he has plenty of time on his hands?
Braundo Feb 4th 2010 6:37PM
Nazgul:
Congratulations, you are the "DEAR SIR *angry typing*" guy that Conan always mocks.
