Geez Louise, that seems like an awful lot of effort for just some cookies, don't you think?
On the other hand, when you're young, a few copper must feel like a fortune, so there is some understanding in the undertaking of these kids.
Next week, we're going to show you some of Byron's earliest blueprints, and the world will witness the birth of an engineer.
Check out the full version right here, and tune in next Tuesday morning for a new page! You can also check out all the previous pages in the gallery below.

Does Byron use Saronite Bombs?
:o
Barinthos Feb 5th 2010 2:32PM
Only when he wants to rebuild the Frozen Throne.

But... It's Friday.
Lissanna Feb 5th 2010 2:13PM
Or is it Tuesday and you slept through the weekend again? lol
mneill Feb 5th 2010 2:10PM
Re posted from Tuesday?
ZMES_Matt Feb 5th 2010 2:16PM
Nope. Tuesday's comic was the diary page outlining the plan to get spiced bread. Today's comic is how that plan turned out.
Cadychan Feb 5th 2010 2:16PM
Because this comic takes, well, considerably less time than the actual drawn ones, these are twice a week - Tuesday and Friday. :)
Once the cast comes off, though, it's back to once-a-week cow adventures. ^_^; But hey! They won't like they're drawn by a three-year old! :D
Lissanna Feb 5th 2010 2:18PM
I hope you get better soon!
Glaras Feb 5th 2010 2:41PM
Cast?? What happened??
Spiritfire Feb 5th 2010 3:28PM
@Glaras
She had surgery on her wrist recently, and of course, it's her writing hand. If I remember her twitter correctly I believe she said something about a lump or growth in her wrist? @Cadistra, do I have that right?
mneill Feb 5th 2010 3:31PM
Ah, i should have read it through, will do so now.
Sorry to hear about the injury and hope you heal well.
Cadychan Feb 5th 2010 8:14PM
@Spiritfire -
Yup, it was a cyst. Which then turned out to be a cluster of cysts. Eeeeewww....>_
ZMES_Matt Feb 5th 2010 2:14PM
Moar Byron is always welcome! :D
I can't wait to see what kind of engineering pattern he comes up with. I'm imagining something along the lines of a "cookieifier", a device that turns inanimate objects into cookies!
Hope today's comic means you're feeling better; injured artists deserve extra cookies.

The bug-sun is adorable. :)

I've studied hand writing analysis and that cow looks to have some serious underlining issues.

"when you're young, a few copper must feel like a fortune"
I remember when I was about 4-5 I managed to save up 30$ worth in change. My father would come home and put any change he had from his lunch in a large jar in my room. We didn't have much money growing up but what ever he put in that jar I could spend on anything I wanted.
I remember counting and recounting it over and over. Thinking that I was going to be the richest guy in the world one day. XD
AudreyR Feb 5th 2010 8:10PM
Not only did the comic make my day, so did your story. My two-year-old nephew feels like a rich man whenever I give him a couple of quarters. It's very sweet. :)
Cadychan Feb 5th 2010 8:16PM
^_^
I remember I was give $20 in an easter card when I was eight years old. I felt like a millionaire. XD
Frank Feb 5th 2010 3:15PM
wtb byron a spelling tutor. just so he can get half the words right. ; )
Tori Feb 5th 2010 3:16PM
I just want to reiterate how clever and cute of an idea this is to continue the comic while you're injury heals.
It shows how dedicated you are, since you could have easily just gone "Sorry guys, my drawing arm is out of commission for a while so the comic's on hiatus."
Instead you still do your best to bring us some entertainment throughout the week, and I'm really thankful for that. ^^
