I don't understand where you say, "Slow/Slow is the only way to go. The reason has everything to do with Flametongue Weapon: "Slower weapons cause more damage per swing."".If going slow has everything to do with flametongue weapon then why do you need to go slow on the Windfury weapon?

Windfury attacks are the only instant 'special' attacks that are not normalised, and never will be normalised. Because of this, weapon speed is ALL that matters for your main hand, the slower the better!

WF has an internal 3 second cool down. this use to be a problem and why we originally used slow/slow in TBC when we WF/WF (to prevent the weaker OH from getting WF strikes). Now, it's just to prevent hitting the CD. It also, just through testing, seems to be what works best.

Also Stormstrike is a 'instant attack with both weapons plus bonus'. The slower the weapon the more damage your weapon deals, the higher damage from stormstrike and bigger hits on a windfury proc.
