Around Azeroth: Goodbye, cool world
This screenshot is the last remaining image of the infamous ice mage David. It was taken on Saturday, shortly before he was beaten into unconsciousness by enraged, frozen residents of Washington, DC. His limp body was then levitated to the top of the Washington Monument and displayed as a warning to any further bringers of blizzards.
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, Val'kyr on mounts, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran. Older screenshots can be found here.

So did this guy...
Are you saying your pic should have been picked over his?
That's awfully selfish of you.
Xavs Feb 7th 2010 1:32PM
Where exactly do you find this option?
Ramco Feb 7th 2010 9:31AM
Beautiful... Is this 1 blizzard? Or multiple mages casting blizzard off-screen?
Zhiva Feb 7th 2010 10:11AM

It was nice to see the snow droping some where else than here for once!

I Speced 3/3 Points in Improved Blizzard, and it really did improve the company!

As a snowed-in victim of this evil mage, I approve of his treatment and dispos-...um...removal. ^.^

The news: It's not just about WoW any more.
Dreamstorm Feb 7th 2010 10:52AM
May I suggest Scholazar Basin? At least make sure it's something cheerful, something that will get you back into the game when you think about ;)
Tumleren Feb 7th 2010 11:02AM
Or Nagrand, it's really one of the most beautiful places in WoW

Hmm. Could we get a team of fire mages up here in Baltimore for snow removal? We don't have "accumulation" up here, we have a river of snow threatening to lift up my car and float it down the street. Plus I'm pretty sure that desperate grinding noise was our plow getting stuck.

I'm in DC, and the salt truck did indeed get stuck in the snow on my street.
As one of the enraged, frozen residents, I approve of any and all mage lynchings that occur. Although I'm a little mystified how the citizens are getting to the monument... are they tromping through the snow?

I have to admit, every time i read the news this week and saw the words 'Blizzard batters US' all i could think of was that the global domination had begun, and soon WoW would be installed on every computer in the world, and be a compulsory experience. i was hopeful.

So that means that sunsets are back in play?
