Do you have to get the killing blow to be able to create a charm? Or can you farm them whilst healing your daily heroics, for example?

You do have to kill the mobs yourself.

Not true if you mean "solo only".
We were doing UK heroic as daily and I got 3 charms each pack of mobs I used to aoe down. Not sure did I get "killing blow" or what but I dont mind, I got my charms.

Yeah, this is miserable for healers: watching everyone in my party EXCEPT me load up on the Lovely Charms...
