Love is in the Air achievements retroactive?

If you were like me and had the wonderful fortune last year to complete the Love is in the Air meta-achievement Fool for Love, there is some interesting news for you. Upon logging on this morning I noticed that the achievements for Charming, Nation of Adoration, and Dangerous Love were completed for me on the date I had originally earned the meta-achievement, last year. Is this a bug or Blizzard's way of allowing those of us who already completed the meta-achievement to not worry about the new holiday tasks?
We would love some more confirmation from people who completed the Fool for Love meta-achievement last year, but at this moment, it seems like we have a little less work to do this holiday season. More love rockets for me to annoy my raids with...

Yes, confirming. I hade every mandatory achievement completed although I couldn't remember having done them last year.

Seems I too have received the retro-active achievements listed. Went to hand in the dailies to the four faction leaders, and found I'd already gotten the achievement.

I noticed this same thing this morning. The only achievement I have to complete is defeating the new bosses in SFK.

I wouldn't say necessarily that it's less work to do - it's simply that they changed the way the achievements are earned and you keep the achievement for the stuff you did last year. I'm happy, all I have left to do is the /pity one.

I did NOT complete the meta last year and yet these are done for me. I am assuming if you did something corresponding to them last year they counted it.

Same. I did not get meta last year, but I already had credit for Dangerous Love and Nation of Adoration. I assume Dangerous Love is based on completing last year's quest chain. Not sure about the other.

The other one, the Nation one, involved collecting bread and letters and other items, bundling them up and giving them to the Leaders of cities to get gifts from them.
Or something like that. I just remember having to collect bread/etc by giving tokens to certain NPCs, wasn't fun.

I still have the mandatory ones from last year. I still have to pick up the Perma-Peddle (not going to bother grinding out 10 more bracelets today) and the My Love is Like a Red, Red Rose achievements. They probably didn't want to screw over the people who had the meta already, so they just left it as-is.

Yes, I got Fool for Love last year and today I have all the new achievements completed already. I guess that seems fair, they do mostly correspond with what we did last year and the year before. Just a different plot.

I have a bit more to work on, however, one of the achiv's I got well after last years holiday. The one where you have to pull the eight candies out of the bag - try as I might I could only get 6 of them and to my surprise mid-April last year, upon logging in, the achievement was awarded....

That achievement was nerfed (around 3.1 I believe) as it had been so horribly RNG.

As of ~3 p.m. server time, my main (Sleutel on Stormrage) has credit for every quest required for the meta. This leaves Tough Love as the only one I'm missing.
IIRC, this happened even BEFORE LIiTA went live. Skimming through holiday achievements at least a week ago to look for non-meta ones I was missing (I've had the meta-meta since Winter Veil), I noticed Tough Love under LIiTA, but NOT any of the other new ones required for the meta. I didn't look at the titles of the other achievements, since I assumed that anything I had credit for was something I'd already done.

I can confirm that this is the case too, like the "make 12 bracelets" one, got it "last year" but it's part of this year's revamped event.
