Maybe they misplaced a copy of Cataclysm on a burned CD, and they want to make sure everyone clears ICC before the expansion is uploaded on the Internet (or they just want to make sure a lot of people run out of content well before they are ready to release anything new)...

You understand, (if you aren't being sarcastic), it doesn't matter what gets released, until they switch the servers over to the new software, you can't run shit.Let's just assume they had a fully working copy of the expansion ready (they don't), and you got ahold of it, and installed it. What happens? Your game doesn't authenticate since your version number is higher than the server's, and you can't upgrade your account because the site wouldn't take the key.
