Okay seriously, I feel the need to reply here.First of all, differnet people have different tastes in UI. My UI might not your cup of tea, but that doesn't mean it's universally terrible.Secondly, the point of my comment was to thank the author for showing me kgPanels, not get an scathingly critical OPINION back on the entire thing. As for your points:I don't know what class you play, but as as warlock and a druid healer I use every single button on that screen, frequently enough to merit them having a spot. See the major block on the right? The ones toward the top see constant use, and as it goes toward the bottom their use becomes more situational. They ALL have key bindings (I use an old-style Logitech G11, the buttons are organized to mimic the layout of the G keys and are bound as such). The left major block consists mostly of buffs and consumables that I use often enough and don't want to have to open my bags every single time for. It also helps me keep track of how many I have of each, again without having to constantly open and close my bags.Texture is a matter of personal preference, thank you very much. While I'm still playing with it, I happen to like those textures just fine. If you prefer metallic, bright purple, "futuristic" looking UI panels, that's YOUR preference.Yes, you need say more. BasicMinimap serves all my needs just fine. It's not cluttered at all. Everything is blocked off into sections. And yes I have two chat windows, because I cannot stand having Guild Chat, Whispers, and Trade all mixed into the same window, and since I like Guild Chat and whispers visible at all times, they get their own window. Trade gets a tab on the main chat window. As HoggersBud strongly implied (thank you), did you not think perhaps I had it visible because I was taking a screenshot of my UI? Also, in the "new ui" shot I had also just been at the target dummy practicing w/ the new layout, and Skada takes up so little space when there's only solo data, why bother making it hide itself? And to reply to Hollow Lev: 1/3 is not "almost all the screen". Your UI probably takes up the same amount of space you'll just have it all spread out. I like to have a nice big open viewing area to see the game through. :3
