Breakfast Topic: What do you do after raids?

Raiding can be serious business. As a GM of my own guild, what happens after raids can be just as important as what happens during raids. The first thing I do is hit the blacksmith and make sure all my gear is repaired for the next day. As an enchanter, I need to ensure that the new gear that drops in the raid is enchanted. The benefit of the new random dungeon system? We have surplus enchanting materials. It is all handed out free of charge usually. If we have the gems, we'll provide those in addition to whatever consumables we have as required.
In any event, raiding for me doesn't end after everything is called. I need to check out the banks and make sure we have enough raiding stocks for the next day. Not only that, as I mentioned, everyone that gets near gear will be looking for me to enchant their stuff. Lastly, logs are uploaded to World of Logs and WoW Meter Online for perusal later to see where everyone else is at. I know I'm not the only one that stays up as a few raiders will still be awake at the time discussing things that worked and things that didn't. Others will stay in game and fish or farm for a bit. They're pumped up and have to calm down some before they can go to bed. I think athletes refer to is at the cooling down period after a big game. While I need to take care of typical GM duties after a raid, others use the time to rest and relax.
What do you do after your raid is over?

Sleep a little. Wake Up. Then Raid some more!
It's a never ending cycle.

I gem and enchant everyone's new stuff and talk about strategies for the next attempt of whatever we're on. Then I either farm or go play around in the BGs.

Laugh at the puny alliance lowbies that tried to stop us from killing that dictator king they've got >:-)

Please, please, kill him again. I want to spit on his stupid corpse, and since I rolled this gnome death knight to finance my future worgen, I barely ever get the opportunity.

My guild raids in the mornings so after we're done I usually log and take a short nap or do some stuff around the house.
Thank goodness I have a girlfriend who doesn't mind that I play WoW and raid.

Often i port back to Dal, and then log right off.

i think you meant everyone that gets new gear. I usually do the daily heroic if i haven't already, otherwise its just prepping new gear.

Depends on how the raid went.
If it went well, then I'll wind down in-game by doing something like fishing, or working on solo achievements (Loremaster, or something silly like /kissing critters)
If it went poorly (ie wipefest, a pug raid that disbanded or fought all the time) then I have to step away from the computer and go do something else entirely for a little while. This usually involves playing the banjo, an instrument which turns all frustration and despair into hope and joy.

What I do depends on how the raid went, though if I'm not really tired I'll usually still play WoW..
But if it went badly, I'll get on an alt and do something compltely mindless (Fish, farm, whatever)

Someimes I log off and do other non WoW stuff, but if I'm logged in after a raid I Gem/chant any new gear then hit up dailies/random dungeon then do some acheivements stuff or jump on an alt and do dailies/acheivements lol

I bake brownies. Need a snack for tomorrows raid? Brownies. Did the raid go poorly? Nothing cheers someone up like a nice and fresh hot brownie. Did the raid go well? Let the fudge brownie melt in your mouth as you relax.
Brownies, they're the cure to everything!
Tomatketchup Feb 10th 2010 9:08AM
They are not the cure for obesity, sadly.
What I do after raids? Well, I either a) Get into a new raid or b) Play either Halo 3, Team Fortress 2, Brutal Legend, Heroes of Might and Magic 3, World in Conflict, Halo: ODST, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 or Warcraft 3.

Heavy smoking and drinking to settle them nerves...
Rapskallion Feb 10th 2010 10:41AM
Yup... a glass or two of a nice scotch really helps me relax after a rough progression night. If it's a really rough or /facepalm night the scotch seems to find a way to pour itself half way through the raid. Funny how that happens.
