My server does a hybrid of gs + show me your achievment or highest achieve if you hadn't downed the boss we were doing. It works out pretty well to find those with raid experience and have learned to follow directions. I don't take people without raid experience to icc/new bosses. There are some raids you can run at 200/213/219/226 first. A 5k gs isn't asking for too much these days either, it takes a few weeks for a fresh 80 to break it with frost badges/triumph badges. The exception is I'll allow to 4800 if they use two ilevel 200 trinkets because the triumph trinkets suck.
