Back in Vanilla garithos used to get it all the time, we also had more people now we have 3000 people with a 1-4 ally to horde ratio on garithos.

the servers are all back up... and thrs still time for the maintenance to end... for once blizz has finished the maintenance early :P
i just hope they add some game time to the accounts for the past few days lags and extended maintenances

I'm amazed that this is the only reference to the challenges in WoW over the past few days here on wowinsider. Many, many servers are having enormous difficulties logging in, at the character select screen, in-game lag, etc.
But no one is reporting on it. Go look at the official forums (both general and realm) - it's a serious problem.

About time.. my realm of Kil'jaeden suffers badly nearly no one was able to log on tuseday and yesterday lag was bad enough to mess every raid even though we did ICC 25 doing the two mutts was just flat out immpossable do to heal and action delays..

I dont mean to sound selfish, but I would tend to think that us affliction warlocks are even more affected than others. We use Drain Soul whenever mob/boss is below 25%, which when it procs, adds soulshards in our bags. It so happens that it's the looting that seems
(at least on Proudmoore) to cause the most lag. So, for the last 2 days i've been jammed in this spell for 10 to 15 seconds while the other players are trying to kill the boss without me. I know, I could just refrain from using this spell, but rotation habits are hard ones to break!

I can confirm this problem on Gurubashi - drain soul has the new, impressive ability to continue to operate well after a mob is dead.

From the context of your post, I deduce that these are all US realms. You do have a fair number of non-US readers; might I politely suggest that it's worth specifying US somewhere in an article that's specific to US realms?

Yes, especially considering that due to the lag many EU server have, I think they'd need a urgent maintenance too. Any news about that?

I deduced that it are US realms by the fact that Deathwing isn't mentioned, since the EU-Deathwing is always in those extra maintenance lists. (At least it feels that way, hehe).

Lots of EU servers was down when i checked this morning. I hope they fix this damn lag, we've been struggling on Shadowsong since the launch of love is in the air.

FYI - A lot of these are Oceanic Realms too (albeit hosted in US) :)
Which is good, as I've noticed even more lag than usual on Saurfang. My LiitA daily quest has been bugging our hugely, I'll accept the quest, get the bomb, go kill some chemical guys, get back to SW and find the NPC didn't think I accepted the quest at all in the first place!

I'm disappointed Thrall isn't on this list. We were having quite a few issues around 9:30-9:45 last night. My priest lagged bad and when I logged out, I couldn't log back in because "A character with that name already exists." Yeah, it's mine.

I got that too, but the "A character with that name already exists" message stood out to me more. I mean, come on, log-in screen; *I* could have told you that.

Seems to be Battle Group themed. Was really hating logging in, being invited to a group, hearing the invite, and waiting two minutes to get off the load screen to accept the invite.

Cooking stuff was even worse; a 15-second delay between completion and transfer.

10 second? You had it nice! Over on Shadowsong-US, I'd have to wait 30+ seconds for mail. I know we weren't the worst either.
