A slight tip to Alliance players (though this could work for Horde). You can travel to the Blasted Lands from any capital city, enter the Dark Portal and then head to your left. There's a port to SW there. So I usually log out in Dal, port to Exodar, hearth, port to Darn, use Outlands to get to SW and then take the tram to IF. Not a bad way to do it.

The port to SW is near a pile of crates in the same area as the flightmaster on Outland side. So you have to port to Blasted Lands, go through the portal and the head to your faction's side. I can only assume there's a port to Org in the same spot on the Horde side.
