I'd point out that the badges of Heroism for the Sundial of the Exiled are not difficult to get. True, you need to down-grade the higher level ones, but if you spend even a LITTLE time farming heroics, you'll be drowning in them. Depending on your luck with drops, it may well be faster to just farm a few more badges than to wait for a drop trinket like the Abyssal Rune. (Also, be glad the rune drops from BOTH of the 2nd bosses in ToC. Some other loot is boss-specific.)

So if you are looking for quick easy trinkets for the new 80, don't be afraid to downgrade a few of those Triumph badges you have. You'll end up swimming in them anyway.

The idea behind what he says is that if you don't trade down those emblems for the ilvl 200 Trinket, you can spend them on a better (iLvl 245) trinket with around 2 more heroic runs, so unless you need the 200 trinket within the next half hour I fail to see a downside for waiting and buying the 245 trinket.

Well we do have two trinket slots. If drops scare you can grab the hourglass after you grab the triumph trinket.
