Please stop praising the Talisman of Resurgence, it's awful. Every time I see a mage with it equiped i cringe. The talisman has a 2 minute cooldown and lasts 20 seconds, the sundial has a 45 second cooldown and lasts 10 seconds. Which do you think is better?

Remember though that the intellect is very useful for Arcane, which is probably the most popular pve spec, especially compared to crit, which is much less useful for Arcane.

I would still have to give it to the talisman. The increase int means an increase in mana and crit, and if you have points in the right talent, increase spell power. Combine that with the fact that as an on use item, popping it with Icy Veins and Arcane power, which have a near similar cool down, adds for an increase in what mages are known best for, their dps.

Going by static bonuses: The Talisman for the Massive Intellect buff to help boost mana pools AND spell crit chance.

Stop cringing, you're wrong. Talisman is much better than Sundial for arcane.

Actually, for an arcane mage, ToR is one of the better trinkets outside of ToC and ICC. It has as much spell power over time as the frost trinket, and it also gives crit from the intellect. I'll admit, the scale of fates is probably a better trinket, but you need two, and if you aren't a raiding mage, it is difficult to get high-end upgrades for your trinkets. And lets face it. No one wants to do 25-man Ulduar or 25-man OS anymore.
And, to do the math, ToR gives 128 Intellect, which gives arcane mages ~19 spell power. The proc from the trinket, if used as much as possible, will give off a spell power bonus of 100 spell power. Now, combined, that translates to 119 spell power, if it was just an equip bonus. Add in the crit from ToR(from the intellect), and you get a pretty good trinket.

Ive been remplacing some gear, and as i was under the hit cap (round 2% lower) i just bought the +hit trinket and kept AR and removed ToR cause i feel AR is better for my numbers
Anyway, i saw nearly 150-200 DPS downgrade on a patchwerk weekly ive done last week
Yep, that trinket doesnt SOUNDS good, but really is...
