- Cashier, banker and fashionista of the Horde with a loyal companion pig.
- DK bank alt: Spookybank apparently explores many extracurricular activities when not at the auction house.
- DK bank alt: Velkina, a death knight who knows how to coordinate.
- Jambank, a cavalier orc who enjoys a nice Thalassian pinot at the end of the work day.

Sure thing.
First off, when I originally called for submissions, I hadn't planned on it being a contest. The prizes and contest aspect was tossed in by the editors as a bonus after I wrote my submission call. This didn't strike me as a problem until I received all the submissions I did and realized I was going to have to carve down the entries that would be shown, as well as the finalists. I'm sorry that I lacked the foresight (this is my first contest >

to realize all of this, otherwise I would have included a list of judging criteria. That's my mistake now.
That said, the things that were looked at in picking finalists, in no particular order of priority were: originality, presentation, and effort. Originality is roughly about the concept. Presentation involves the care, quality, and composition of the screen shot, its location, characters and costumes. Effort is how much time we felt went into the submission. For the last one, what you guys can't see are the multiple screen shots, or companion stories or essays that came with each submission. Some readers pulled out the stops for creativity on this one.
There were also many entries that were very similar. The finalists that were selected, were picked for best representing themselves among all the submissions, or from a group of similar submissions.

All the bank alts without a level notation are under level 20. The majority of submissions were under level 20. I'd have labeled them all to keep uniform with the ones above level 20, but our blog publisher required that I do that for every single picture individually... >_>; wasn't going to happen.
To anyone who doesn't see their bank alt in the gallery, don't be disheartened. The gallery contains just a fraction of the submissions I received, and I personally read and viewed all of them. I really loved them all, and was overwhelmed by all the care that was put into each reader's submission, but I was advised to keep the gallery down to about 100-ish entries.
Thank you everyone who sent in submissions - some of you got your screenshots tossed into my cycling desktop wallpaper folder. =)

I concur. I voted for her out of respect for that very thing, and because I quite frankly love the name she chose for her personal guild bank. Cute and punny, without being too over-the-top.
Doesn't look like she's gonna win based on the current votes, but dangit, she deserves props.

This was difficult. I can only imagine what Dawn had to go through in choosing just the finalists as they all look awesome!
In the end, I had to go with Spookybank. There was just something in that gleeful grin as she wields that bloody cleaver that said to me, "I'll get to your heart, ONE way or another..."

Thanks for putting these together, I always find the subject of bank alts interesting .. for most of us it's the closest we ever get to roleplaying in game :)

It would have been most helpful if you had included a reminder in the OP as to what this contest was actually about. "bank alt screen shot contest" is not informative in the least. Maybe this was supposed to have a link? IDK. I didn't vote because I have no clue as to what I'm voting on, exactly.
