I usually tip a lot (15g+), even though most of the crafters say "It's okay dude, 5g is enough" it makes them happy, I get my stuff, and they'll be happy to help you again later. You can do this too, just don't be cheap. In the Netherlands we have this saying: "Wie goed doet, goed ontmoet." I think it's well translated as do good things, and good things happen.
