As said above, my approach is always that of a "fee" rather than a "tip." That is if I am offering to do some crafting or looking to have something crafted for me, I always specify an amount up front. Sometimes right in the trade chat, but always before anyone has gone out of their way.I Definitely don't like leaving it to chance. Just be up front, be willing to modify the amount a bit if the other person requests a different amount, and everyone should walk away happy.
