Kevin Smith has NEVER pretended he isn't fat. As a matter of fact he refers to himself as tubby, a fat bastard, and just plain fat.

As for talentless, I think we can let the sales of his movies speak for themselves. Maybe not YOUR cup of tea, but he does have an audience.
