This Saturday's WoW Insider Show featured regular standbys Mike Sacco and Matt Rossi as well as two special guests -- Mat McCurley, our new addon/UI columnist, and Amy Schley, our new legal columnist. Love was, apparently, In The Air, but so was an hour or so of WoW discussion ranging from what's going on with the WoW TCG to a sort-of-confirmed Cataclysm release date thanks to the Activision-Blizzard financial report, on top of answering reader emails and talking amongst ourselves. A good time was indeed had by all.

Ep 129 downloads fine from iTunes. Ep 128 still will not download.

Heh like the new guy, Mat Mccurley. Charismatic.
Question for any prot pallies that read comments. Rossi said seal of command is OP for tanking pallies....i've never tried seal of command? I just use seal of vengeance. Can anyone confirm that seal of command is better for tanking? I never even thought to use it.

In multi-mob situations Command overtakes Vengeance because of the cleave effect. When tanking heroics, the Gunship Battle (for example) on your ship, Deathwhisper adds (sorta) or most raid trash it's beneficial to turn on Command.
The ideal main-tanking protection spec is 0/53/18 with 1/2 Spiritual Attunement, and 3/5 Reckoning. This leaves enough points to go 2/2 Vindication and 1/1 Seal of Command (forego Conviction completely as it's our weakest threat talent) and naturally 3/3 Crusade.

I wasn't sure if I even heard right :). I haven't been in a high end raiding guild as a prot pally, but i did look at talent specs for high end raiding guilds ('team ice' on illidan), and i just matched theirs. Granted based on the gear they weren't one of the top prot pallies.
I'll respec and try this out. Seal of vengeance has that benefit of going to all 4 of your guys when you use hammer of the righteous, and based on seal of command it'll only go to 3 guys when you do Shield of righteous. Sounds like it'll be fun messing around with it.
I certainly don't have any problems with threat atm in any heroics (even with arms/fury warriors doing 5k), but if this ups my dps then cool!

Since there was a lot of Shammy talk on this episode I thought I'd throw this out there.
I'm leveling a Shammy (almost 18...horde btw) and I'm going Enhancement as that seems to be the "one" to level as and I'm getting along. I haven't found a "rotation" at this level or a best way to take stuff down so was wondering if some other people can chime in on these topics:
- What totems should I be dropping (only 1 fire, so that's pretty easy)?
- Weapons? Am I gimping myself with a 1H mace and shield? Should I go 2 handed if and when I can?
Other hints/comments?
And I'm now kind of looking forward to the Water totem quest...but if it's anything like the warriors Whirlwind quest...maybe not so much!

Hi there,
I am still enjoying your show after the changes (Mike leaving, etc).
However the emphasis on tank discussion is getting old.
I'm a Holy Paladin, and I do like to hear about tanking perspective as I deal mostly with tanks out of any other class, but you talk about nothing else. tank tank tank.
There are other roles out here in the WoW wilderness :)

I was thinking about moving on from listening to this podcast but this recent one was so superior to the last few I'm going to stick around. Great, smart guests with something to say and great mix of topics. I think you guys are finding your stride now, well done.
