Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, Val'kyr on mounts, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran. My first guess is the LK encounter doesn't start straight away when you get in Aggro range, so she/he'd be able to get a quick snapshot before he snaps her neck.

You probably start the encounter by talking to Fordring or something, that or there's a good deal of RP Lore before the pull itself, like DBS, giving someone plenty of time to take an awesome shot like that.

I haven't done the Lich King myself*, but from watching videos it looks like you start the event by talking to Tirion. Until then he sits there and broods, like Illidan with the skull before you talk to Akama.

You're all correct. Fordring stands in the center of the platform area below, whilst the Lich King just stands at the top of the stairs by the Frozen Throne until you tell Fordring you're ready to attack.
Oddly as soon as you do the Lich King immediately sits down, then gets up again, as if he's trying to pretend he never noticed you down there, planning his demise.

The Lich King was was shocked to see a dwarf female. He knew if he moved that she would run away so he sat on his throne, still as can be hoping he wouldn't spook her.
Dwarf females. A rare sight in Azeroth.
