Last night however I had the opposite experience. Last night, Lana'thel dropped my new precious. Amazingly, no rogues took it, and so I'm wandering around wearing the door from Satan's own El Camino as a shield. It's pretty much been the drop I've wanted the most from ICC ever since it opened up and I'm ridiculously, deliriously happy with it. (SInce I never saw the Elementium Reinforced Bulwark or Bulwark of Azzinoth drop, it's also the best looking shield I've ever had.) So in my state of giddy glee I move to ask you, have you had that surge of relief when something finally dropped lately? What was it?

I remember running ToC25 just about every single week since it opened up, and praying for The Sufferings End. Every week it seemed that i would roll lower and lower, finally about a week or two before ICC came out I finally got it. Only to replace it with The Frozen Bonespike about three weeks in. :(

Yes i do know the feeling! Just two nights ago the Battered Hilt dropped for me and i had never seen it drop before :-) I was in HHOR and figured id grab my 50 or some odd silver from a corpse before the next wave started and there it was! I beat the tank by 1 point on the need roll and it was mine :-) of course none of the other party members were happy for me especially the tank. Now the might of the faithful is mine :-)

Battered Hilt. As a casual player who rarely runs anything beyond 5-man heroics, I was happy to see Blizz give us a nice weapon and a mini-quest to shoot for, if only we would grind the ICC 5-mans over and over again, which I happily did. Lost one roll with a 99 to a 100 which sucked, but came back literally the next night and saw it drop again and this time won the roll.

I've seen it twice in 1 run and that was when they first came out, now i never see them drop

When I was running them on the PTR I saw them drop like rain. Since then, I've seen one in the maybe 30 runs I've done through the place. The drop rate for it just sucks too much.

I didn't see the battered hilt drop for about the first three weeks since the patch. Ran FoS and PoS every day (sometimes twice, due to the Dungeon Finder) until I saw the first drop (which I lost).
After seeing it drop, I decided there was no point in grinding myself stupid hunting for something that was so rare, so I stopped setting aside time specifically for FoS and PoS runs. I'd just do the random for Frost emblems, then move on to alts or rep grinds or soloing low-level dungeons.
A few days later, a guildie wants to run an alt through the ICC heroics to gear up an alt. Didn't really feel like doing them, but thought "Eh, why not? It'll help gear them up."
The Finder puts us in PoS first, we clear it without any major hitches. Then we go to FoS. Clear it earily. And the Battered Hilt drops off the Devourer of Souls. This time, I win the roll.
I apparently had built up a bit of karma in those few days.

I still have yet to see it, and I run all 3 Heroic dungeons on 4 toons :p

Saw the hilt drop once, the first week. Ran that place daily for the next 3, no luck. Guildie of mine has gotten three.
As for a sigh of relief drop. I'd been running ToC25 damn near every week since it was released inn futile attempt after futile attempt to get that damn death's verdict. Missing maybe 3 weeks due to messed up PuGs that got me saved at the first boss then broke up or Rl issues. But still it eluded me. Dropped maybe 4 times total, outrolled each time. Got to the point where it was the only reason i ever went. Flash forward to maybe a month ago. I'm in a semi-PuG with guildies and another guild. We pretty much saw through the place as a precursor to ICC. Kill twins and what drops? Death's Verdict. And through a strange alignment of loot rules and the kindness of raid members it wound up in my grubby lil paws. The feeling of elation that washed over me at gaining this lil guy was mind blowing. Or that could have been the realization that I never ever have to go back to that GD arena ever again. lol

Mudslide Boots in H PoS were the first things I actually had to farm for in a really long time. I just couldn't stand the fact that all my other gear was iLvl 232 or higher and those damned boots were mocking me! Thankfully when they finally did drop (15 Tyrannus kills later), the pally I was with didn't pull a "gotcha" and Need on them. Orbital weapons platform indeed.

Mudslide Boots in H PoS yeah these gave me a very very hard time and after running it for days only see them drop once and remember that I'm a paladin who can't NEED roll on them anyway!!!!

Farmed hPoS on my warrior for the 2h axe for ages. Finally dropped in a group where noone else could use it, only for the resto shammy to ninja it. I hear arp is great for shaman. But then I got it the next day, and have been happily arping since.

Months and months and months in Karazhan with nothing. The first (of two) times I saw it drop, I was on my druid alt to fill a tank role. The second time was our very last night in Kara before everyone headed off to Northrend. I won it, but all I ever got to use it for was to level to 80. I probably passed on viable upgrades all the way to 80 just because I didn't want to stop using it. Finally did with a quest green from the Icecrown zone. Sigh. I still haven't found a bow as nice looking as that one though.

I have yet to see that bow drop on my hunter. I ran Kara every week for months and months. The one weekend I go out of town it drops for my group, the rouge gets it. Then, to rub some salt in the wound a few months back I took my druid alt in there just for fun and the achievement. Guess what drops?

Not really but I did manage to pick up my t10 gloves from VoA and not even realise. Presumably id been assigned them and not noticed, and then id managed to equip them when changing specs, again without noticing. So the next day when I looked on and saw myself sporting a really cool pair of gloves as if by magic, I as ecstatic! :)

The plate DPS boots from Halls of Reflection were a nice thing to finally get, but...
Sadly most of the time I'm filling a spot as a "Friend" status in my guild, which means I get low priority on loot.
And they wonder why I so rarely feel like joining...
