As a shadow priest, let me tell you that you absolutely should pass the Nevermelting Ice Crystal to a DoT class. Why? Because it benefits us a whole lot more, and this trinket appears to have an incredibly low drop rate. A shadowpriest will hate your guts if you take this trinket from him. I'm still rocking Sundial of the Exiled and Purified Lunar Dust because after a mage ninjaed it from me, it NEVER DROPPED AGAIN. After around 15 more runs, no NMIC. So guess who doesn't get healed next I'm healing instead of dpsing? Yeah, the guy that stole my trinket. And hi19, no mage should ever take Phylactery over an afflction warlock or shadow priest. Ever.

That's what you get for looking like warlocks.

If it's a guildmate, sure. However if you're some random PUG then I'm not so convinced, if it's an upgrade for me then I'll probably take it, that's generally how loot works in 5mans. When something drops we don't form a loot council and decide who needs it the most, its a roll system and sometimes that means your going to take a small upgrade from a guy in greens and sometimes someone's gonna steal an awesome item from you. Unless there's a stat that does nothing for us (like hit for a healer) then any upgrade is ok to roll on.So yeah, expect mages, boomkins, Shammies, and healers to take this trinket from you.good luck.

Although I agree with you that Nevermelting Ice Crystal is more of an upgrade for a shadow priest or the other insignificant class, I have to also agree with Archmage Pants that a mage does not HAVE to pass the trinket to you. Just like Archmage Pants said, it provides a nice damage bonus to a fire mage's Living Bomb if it is used before the LB cast. That said, I think most Arcane mages who knows the game and/or have better trinkets will pass it to you if you asked nicely since Arcane benefits marginally from the on-use crit bonus. However, expecting people to pass the trinket that might be an upgrade without explaining to them why seems a little unreasonable. After all, this is the price we pay to play an online multiplayer game.Just be glad to know that if there is a warlock in your group, then he/she will DEFINITELY roll on that trinket. Let us unite and hate warlocks together!

Eh, don't mind me. I'm just extremely bitter that the arcane mage took my trinket when I said in the beginning "The only reason I'm running this instance is for that trinket. You can take any other loot, but please, I need the trinket".
