"Parties randomly created via the Dungeon Finder will always be arranged in the party interface from top to bottom in the following order: tank, healer, damage, damage, damage."Thank the Titans!

THIS, THIS, THANK GOD FOR THIS!As a healer, I really hate trying to heal someone who isn't on top...call me picky, but I guess I am a little OCD.

no trid, i know how you feel... you get so used to the tank being the leader of the party, and therefore being on the top... and then when it isnt that way, it feels all wrong, and you keep accidentally going to the top char and healing them when you should be healing the actual tank

They even added icons to the portraits, and people still asked "Who's healing?"

@DrakkSometimes people who queue up for multiple roles decide to change which one they want to do when they actually get to the instance. I occasionally run with three dual-spec pallies, and they often decide after getting to the instance who's going to be doing what, no matter what the portraits say. We always clarify it for whichever random person ends up getting with our group.

@DrakkenfyreThere are lots of players that don't actually use the default UI blizzard has provided, that being said, a lot of UI options out there don't have the same icons that blizzard's UI has.

Healing the wrong target isn't NEARLY so bad as realizing you just Misdirected to the wrong target...

@Trid: I use /focus on the tank so I don't have to worry what their position is in the UI any more.It also helps you to use addons like power auras to check whether your /focus target needs any spells refreshed (e.g. I'm a priest, so it gives me visual warnings for when weakened soul isn't on my tank, etc)Also, if you use Clique (or similar) you can have your keybindings to heal the tank, and mouse clicks for healing any silly DPSers who refuse to get out of fire, etc.

danawhitaker The people I am talking about would ask as soon as the group got into the instance "Who's healing?" or "Who's tanking?""Look at the icons""Oh, I didn't look there"We aren't talking about people choosing multiple roles. I didn't think about non-standard UI's, however.

I hide the party frames and just use Grid w/ pet frames for my standard party UI, so no, I can't see the roles. I set my focus for misdirection to whoever has the highest HP pool.

As a healer I especially hate wondering who the tank is after the 1st pull. Now I can just heal the top guy and let everyone else die. Reason for kick: Healer let me die. Reason from Healer: Healer doesn't like Dps that pull aggro.
