WRUP: Our favorite shows edition

- Adam Holisky (@adamholisky): Playing some STO and EVE Online while drinking gin and tonics. Favorite TV show? I want to keep my job, so I'm saying Doctor Who.
- Alex Ziebart (@alexziebart): It's still all heroics, all the time for me. Sunday night we're also back in Icecrown, trying to take out the Blood Queen and work our way through Sindragosa. I'm also not done with my Mass Effect kick, I'm currently in the process of slopping together a fansite for the Cerberus Daily News updates and checking out all of the anomalies I missed my first play-through. As for my favorite TV show, it changes every couple of months depending on what I'm watching. A few months ago I'd have said Weeds, but right now it's Mad Men. I just started season 2!
- Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey): Catching up on some writing, making a last ditch effort to get a Big Love Rocket (I still haven't even seen the thing!), and this Sunday, hopefully getting to face off against the Lich King for the first time. Favorite TV show -- Doctor Who (the new season needs to start sooner rather than later), House, 30 Rock, and Glee among others.
- Amy Schley: Friday night -- hopefully hear that my husband got a new job, the interview for which he's traveling across the state. Also, Rock Band/WoW party at a friend's house. Saturday -- [Loremaster of Kalimdor] awaits! For TV show, Allo, Allo, the 80's British sitcom set in Nazi occupied France.
- Basil Berntsen: I'll be chilling out on the WoW.com podcast on Saturday, and a live Hunting Party Podcast on Sunday. If I'm really lucky, I'll have time to repost my auctions and get some afk crafting done too. For my TV show, I'll have to go with How I Met Your Mother.
- C. Christian Moore (@thearenaguy): Hoping to knock Arthas out this weekend, as well as taking care of a few unfinished Ulduar meta achievements for guildies who missed a hard mode or two. My favorite TV show would have to be LOST at the moment, though The Office definitely gives it a run for its money.
- Christian Belt (@ihatewarlocks): I'm hooked on Fallout 3 at the moment. I know, as usual, I'm several years late to the party. Favorite TV show? Of all time: The Wire. Start to finish, that was the best complete series I've ever had the pleasure of watching. The Shield was a close second, taken as a whole product. I also got a lot of mileage out of Battlestar Galactica, Veronica Mars, Firefly, and Star Trek TNG. Current: Breaking Bad. Mad Men. Glee. Community. And of course, Lost. All of those shows are absolutely stellar. In fact, if Breaking bad keeps running at its current level of quality, it may even join or eclipse The Wire atop my personal pantheon.
- Dan O'Halloran: More LotRO. More Mass Effect. And I can't stop playing the iPhone app game Plants vs. Zombies. It's a fun tower defense kind of game. It got me through a very long day of jury service. Also getting sucked into the Facebook TCG Warstorm. Good stuff. Favorite TV show(s): Nurse Jackie, Glee, Randy Jackson's America's Best Dance Crew. Go west coast!
- Daniel Whitcomb (@danielwhitcomb): I'm actually still shaking off the last vestiges of my Mass Effect 2 addiction, but I probably have one more playthrough in me. Other than that, saving up those Frost Emblems, of course. Favorite TV Shows? Currently running, definitely Community. Everyone on that show reminds me of someone I knew in college, it's uncanny. As far as all time, I'd say it's a tossup between Kings and Arrested Development, both amazing shows in their respective genres, the former (and maybe even the latter) ended far before its time.
- Elizabeth Harper (@faience): Oh, sure, everyone else is getting over Mass Effect 2 -- but after nabbing the No One Left Behind achievement as a paragon, I think it's about time for a renegade play-through. As far as television goes, it's Doctor Who. Definitely Doctor Who. (Though, alas, I cannot bring myself to fire anyone for not liking Doctor Who.)
- Elizabeth Wachowski (@leeatwaterlives): Finishing up Mass Effect 2, probably, and playing BioShock 2, definitely. As for my favorite show, all-time is probably the Simpsons or Arrested Development. Currently, I love It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and 30 Rock.
- Fox Van Allen (@foxvanallen): This weekend, I will be doing whatever my new guild tells me to, cause I'm their new bitch. That probably means all the ten-man content up to the Lich King. And OH MY GOD CAN WE TALK ABOUT WHAT A GREAT SHOW COMMUNITY IS?! I was so psyched to see that I wasn't the first person here to say it's my favorite show, or even the second. Joel McHale will have my babies someday, once science evolves to the point where that is possible.
- Gregg Reece: I'm going shopping for baby stuff this weekend with baby due date being March 2nd.
- Joe Perez (@Lodurzj): Just beat ME2 as a full renegade. Second play through now done, I'm heading full tilt into BioShock 2 with a healthy dose of StarCraft II beta to sate my RTS addiction. Current favorite TV show is a tie between Sci Fi Science and White Collar
- Kelly Aarons (@Cadistra): Super excited to be back to drawing this weekend! Now that I have a functional wrist again, this also means cleaning my fish tank and apartment. In WoW, saving up for my next piece of T9, and chasing after phantasmal old people. Favorite TV show? Don't have cable, and I watch so little TV, but... hmm, yeah, I don't have one right now. ^_^;
- Lisa Poisso (@emused): Some concentrated time in the WoW AH this weekend that I've dodged for far too long. Strolling through a temporary nostalgia subscription to EQ, a quick turn in EQ2, plus family fun in a boatload of kids' MMOs (Free Realms, Wizard101, Toontown Online...). Favorite TV shows: It's all about HBO series in box sets, baby – just about to start rewatching Rome.
- Matt Low (@matticus): I'll be loading up on some ICC 10 this weekend possibly. I also have to put on the recruiting hat. I am the GM that never sleeps. Also, Canada vs USA on Sunday will look to be an extremely entertaining game! I'm excited and can't wait! Favorite TV shows would be Family Guy, Stargate, Glee, House, and Fringe! It varies depending on which show is actually on.
- Mathew McCurley (@gomatgo): My guild exploded so we are restructuring the ten mans and hopefully doing some ICC this weekend. My favorite TV shows are The Office, 30 Rock and, right now, Big Love.
- Rich Maloy (@stoneybaby): As usual Saturday is QT w the GF. I'll probably get in a guild ICC10 at some point this weekend. Sunday I'm shooting video for a big new project. Fav TV show: hands down without question is Mythbusters.
- Robin Torres (@cosmiclaurel): Elder. Travel. Travel. Elder. Travel. Travel. Omg dungeon. Running. Running. Elder. Travel. Travel. Elder. Aaaaargh! My favorite tv show is Sons of Anarchy. The writing, performances and direction are all top notch. But it's not back until fall, Fringe and Glee are on break, so my current favorite is Pawn Stars. It's like Antiques Roadshow, only more fun.
- Tyler Caraway (@Murmurs): I'll be showing off my spectacular fashion sense at the local club for my friend's birthday party on Saturday night, after that, it's back to leveling my Hunters and running 10 mans. Favorite TV show? Too hard to pick just one. Currently running, it's a toss up between Glee and Bones, though Legend of the Seeker runs a solid third. From the no longer airing category, it's hard to choose between Kings, Torchwood, and Skins.
- Zach Yonzon (@Battlemasters): I had blocked off this weekend for the StarCraft 2 beta, but it's PC only for now, so I'm suddenly free. I just might break out my wallet to finally transfer all my toons to another server, we'll see. I don't really watch a lot of television, but I tune in to Discovery and NatGeo for specials on the martial arts like the Fight Quest series or Secrets of the Kung Fu Temple.

Early this morning, when the PTR notes first came out, I purchased just about every Frozen Orb on my server for 5.5g each. Of course now the prices have skyrocketed and I've managed to sell a few stacks worth for 40g per orb.
Tomorrow I'll probably farm honor so I am able to buy the PvP mounts when 3.3.3 drops.
Basil Berntsen Feb 20th 2010 9:38AM
Lucky... I logged into my server minutes after I finished posting the news to buy them, and they were all going for 30g.
Henrah Feb 20th 2010 9:17AM
Today is looking like a buy-millions-upon-millions-of-frozen-orbs kinda day.
I already bought 7 stacks this morning, for less than Vendor price, why the person didn't notice you can vendor them for 5g is beyond me.
Also found my first Frozen Orb ninja this morning! He waited until everyone had left the instance, and then rolled need! Cheeky person.... clever though, too.
Tomorrow is likely a heroic running kinda day, whilst trying to level my new priest.

On the topic of TV shows, SOUTH PARK FTW!
Azizrael Feb 20th 2010 9:53AM
I love Community, but Parks & Recreation is the Sargeras to its Lich King.
Modpapa Feb 20th 2010 10:28AM
no one likes Big Bang Theory? Sheldon Cooper is my idol........

Leveing my little holy priest through run after run of BRD with dungeon finder. Fun! =)
As for TV shows, it's hard to beat the final season of LOST. But I'm halso ooked on the box set of Deadwood right now. That show ended way too soon. HBO, you are a cruel mistress...

I FINALLY got my hands on a copy of Dragon Age Origins and it's EATING MY LIFE. In a good way, mind you. I managed to pull myself away from it just long enough for this week's ICC and getting the Lunar Festival meta. I'm a huge Baldur's Gate fan from way back so I'm loving the hell out of this (and thanking Bioware for getting their heads out of their arses about romances--I swear Alistair is the apology for Anomen).
So today it looks like I'll be searching for Andraste's Ashes. And making out with Alistair (and Zevran) at camp for the 500th time. Sadly he made me break up with Leliana yesterday, and I wasn't even trying to hook up with her on this playthrough. I should have named my Elven mage Tiger--well, Tigress. XD
Thank god for DVRs is all I'm saying. I'm gonna have so much TV to catch up on, since my PS3's been occupied. Big Love's probably the only show I'll bother with until ladies figure skating starts up in Vancouver.

What lies beyond the shadow of the statue?

This weekend? Continuing the bathroom renovation, hoping against hope to finish before I deliver my 2nd son on a week or two. In WoW, some herb farming, another Wintergrasp run (2 more Marks of Honor before my Titan-Forged Leather Helm of Triumph, then I'm done with pvp!) and maybe gritting my teeth and starting some random heroics. Or learning to make more than a few copper on the AH (hey Basil, when's the next Call to Auction?). TV show? I watch so little TV... I'll say Good Eats (Alton Brown is my hero).

My shaman is going to be thisclose to getting the frost badges I need for 2pc T10, so I'll be working on that, and also trying to level up my paladin. I kind of hate her, though. Should I stick with what I know best (healing) or should I give pally tanking a try? Ooh, I'll also be trying to get my kitty rotation down, so I will be referencing Ms. Roberts' posts on the subject extensively, because I just dropped tree spec for the first time in EVER. My drood was my 2nd toon to 70 and 1st to 80, and the fledgling raiding guild I joined allowed me to learn to heal raids. I've had other off-specs, but as of yesterday, there is no more burnt broccoli on my bar.
Shows I love: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Community, Lost, Lie to Me, House, anything Whedon touches, SYTYCD.

I'll likely get down-voted for this, but it was Mass Effect 2 that drove me back to WoW. So pissed at BioWare and the fact I bought the collector's edition right now. Don't think I'll be leaving for The Old Republic now. It's Cataclysm all the way.
