Patch 3.3.3 PTR: Upcoming profession changes

There are a number of profession changes being introduced in patch 3.3.3. Most of these changes revolve around the speeding up process of crafting. For example, the cooldown and location requirements for Tailoring items like Moonshroud, Spellweave and Ebonweave? Gone!
Some craftable items have had their costs reduced.
More changes after the break!
Runed Orbs: Recipes which require this item have had their material requirements significantly reduced.
Fishing
The "Monsterbelly Appetite" daily fishing quest has changed so it now takes place outside the Violet Hold in Dalaran. The quest still requires a Severed Arm and has been renamed to "Disarmed!"
Inscription
Most recipes that required 2 inks now only require 1.
Mining
Titansteel Bar: Creating this item no longer results in a cooldown.
Tailoring
Glacial Bag: Creating this item now invokes a 7-day cooldown.
Better start generating more of these bags now if you hope to sell some of these on the auction house or for your alts.
The cooldown and location requirements have been removed from creating Moonshroud, Spellweave, and Ebonweave.

Yes, not having to fly and blow a water walking elixir (if you aren't a DK or shaman) will make this daily much more completable. Bloodtooth Frenzy and Ghostfish aren't that bad because you can usually port to WG as a shortcut to do those dailies when your faction controls WG.

You make a valid point, but that's a tricky gambit. Most people who intend on powering through the first few profession points with yellow/red WoLK recipes will have a hefty supply of mats tucked away already.
Prices on old mats tend to trend up in the pinches of profession power leveling. Thorium for example. It meets several criteria which make it a high commodity even this far into WoW's life. It's required for that dreaded 275-300 run of two professions. Fel Iron experiences a similar low use (only a few skill points in the grand scheme). While both of these materials may be no more difficult to farm than saronite, everyone is farming saronite, even passively, so the supply stays up. The older mats do have people farming them, but at a significantly lower number. So, high demand and low supply gives us high prices and healthy profits.
Trying to apply this to WotLK mats could be done. If you imagine the quickest way to level each profession through the WotLK profession points, then farm the required materials and sell them down the road. Leather is a good thing for this. There is only one way to get leather, skin it. As a result, people love buying leather that someone else did the work for. Stocking up on leather now could pay off when it becomes too inconvenient to kill icy rhinos. Unfortunately, LW isn't the most popular profession so demand is relatively low when compared to JC or Enchanting, and most LWers get their own skinning done.
The big uh-oh is that with the new spins on professions coming in 4.0, it's going to be hard to pin down what WotLK mats are worthwhile. Instead, I'd recommend going with what we know. Goblins and Worgen will need professions. So Thorium could be a safe bet as well as 275-300 herbs.

About bags: Glacial bags are 22 slot right? And cost around 300 gold or so. Frost weaves on the other hand is 20 slot and cost around 50 gold.
What makes GB better than FW? Why not let tailors make a normal bag of 32 slots? I refuse paying 250 gold more for 2 extra slots.
Besides; what's the point for tailors when the bags cost more to make than sell? If a FW goes for 40 gold on AH, where's the profit? ;-)
