The thing that I'd like to see changed for hunters, and it has nothing to do with trinkets as such, is the sound effect for guns, bows, and crossbows. No matter which gun you get, it sounds the same. Yet, you wouldn't expect a short range rifle to sound exactly the same as a long range hunting rifle. Couldn't Blizz add some varying sound effects for the different weapon types? I'd also like to see a scope available for weapons, allowing for really long range sniper shots. The sniper shot would be an instant kill, but could have a 5 / 10 minute cooldown, and be pve only. Another thing I'd like to see is the pet be able to deliver the trap when it charges at the enemy...it charges the enemy, drops the trap, and continues the attack. If hunters are to have mana (which I read on WoW.com may be removed in the next expansion) then why not give hunters shadow/fire/nature arrows as well as arcane and frost?
