@jealouspirate: This.
I'm a through-and-through die-hard alliance fan and I fully expect players to be absolute cretins that I play with, if you're main is a human retribution paladin, arguably one of the most common classes in all the game, you're bound to come up against a lot of stick for your race/class choice.
But I play Alliance because I love their lore and want to kick some Horde butt, I recently took a couple of days break from WoW because I was getting tired of the groundhog day which had become doing random heroics (just because it's easier now, doesn't make it any more fun) each day which is all I have time for, so I took on trying some free MMO games, WonderKings, DDO online, but neither of them could provide me with the statisfaction of being part of the Alliance, it just makes me proud to be part of the ideal, so much so I forget about the players who make up the player base (and in which case most of them aren't half bad!).
