Patch 3.3.3 PTR: New info on Facebook

Official Warcraft FacebookDeath knights, druids, hunters, mages, rogues, warlocks, warriors, oh my! For those participating in our public testing of the upcoming minor content patch 3.3.3, look out this week for a host of fascinating new adjustments to these classes. Chains of Ice innately does what? Nature's Grasp has how many charges? Vitality boosts stamina by how much? Stay tuned to find out the answer to these and more questions!
What does this mean? No idea, but it appears as though the various class changes and tweaks that were announced for patch 3.3.3 aren't set in stone just yet, which is what Ghostcrawler said late last week. This fluidity should be expected, after all, as it is a public test realm. Players on the PTR may want to keep an eye out for the changes, and possibly expect some sort of minor patch this week. When an announcement is made about the changes, we'll let you know!

"Warcraft has found a lonely cow! Help do something or another with it by joining Farmville!"

I haven't seen a Farmville (or any other app) spam in months. Yay for the Hide function!

It's Complicated.

Best thing ever on Facebook is the Armory-app. Head's down all Farmville spammers, I'm levelling a new alt and he is spamming every new item he finds, every achievement he gets, every boss he's downed.
In your face, Farmville.

"Nature's Grasp has how many charges?"
Why do I get the feeling it's going to be something like 5 charges and a 25% chance to entangle.
/shudders.
Brasson Feb 24th 2010 2:43AM
That's one possibility. Another is that it might become a long-term effect like Inner Fire (not likely) or a reactive AoE root similar to Hungering Cold (but less awesome) or a root-spam on anything that hits you (net effect: zero).
So... how many charges DOES Nature's Grasp have? *stays tuned*
Vaeku Feb 24th 2010 7:26AM
Or perhaps something like Lightning Shield, where it might have up to 3 charges but if you're getting pounded by 3 mobs not all of them will be rooted at once.
Anyways, I'm interested to see what they do. I'd like more charges, but not if it affects the chance of being rooted.

friend of mine was on a hunter on the PTRs, with a wolf pet (idk if this is with others) in his spellbook and on his and the whole raids buff bar was a Ferocious Inspiration increasing all damage by 1%. he was specced MM. i wad not with him but was told over vent, i have to wonder if this was a glitch of some sort but this makes me wonder.
although this post made it sound like they were implementing more fun abilitys not really stat or damage increases (or not direct anyway)

Confirmed. My MM raid-specced retail copy of my hunter on the PTR has Ferocious Inpsiriation as an aura, buffing damage by 1%.
If you want to see what my hunter/pet spec looks like on the PTR just search my live toon, Melenaus on Norgannon.
This is weird as hell though. The talent which gives this is still there, with the 1/2/3% damage increases still there.

They're probably making it so that when your pet dies and you're BM, you still get the Ferocious Inspiration buff. It'll be more of a hunter passive than a pet buff. Thus, rather than figuring out how to make pets last longer, they buff the owner. Bandaid fix anyone?
matt morales Feb 24th 2010 2:31AM
Vitality?!!!! I'd be down for a warrior buff.
*prays it isn't gonna be a nerf*
Aedilhild Feb 24th 2010 10:48AM
On one hand, seeing as how protection warriors still face a DPS deficit, and could use a little more survivability, an increase seems most likely.
But on the other, Vitality fits Ghostcrawler's definition of obligatory talents to be minimized or eliminated in Cataclysm — so the change may be one that none of us expects.

No buffs for you! Two patches!
Zerounit Feb 24th 2010 3:57AM
It's been so long since I've seen a good old fashioned Windfury nerf in the patch notes, maybe we're due.
