Patch 3.3.3 PTR: New battleground mark conversion

Check out the latest from the PTR -- battleground mark to honor conversion is now up, with each battleground mark you've squirreled away worth an astonishing two thousand honor per mark. For people that have been PvPing since vanilla, that adds up to a lot of honor. Thankfully, there's places to spend it.

Check the gallery below for a full list of new prices on PvP mounts and legacy PvP gear. As of the current PTR build the new Commendations of Service are not account-bound, which means you can't send them off to alts like their Wintergrasp counterparts -- meaning players may be swimming in gems when the patch finally goes live. If this changes, we'll let you know. Stay tuned for more 3.3.3 PTR info as it develops!

No sir, I don't got it. It's still dumb. I'm sorry. It just is. If someone gives you money it becomes YOUR money. Spending gifted money on something is exactly the same as you spending your own money. Sure you didn't earn it, but it's still your money however you come by it, you decide its fate, and YOU decided to spend it on Richard Knaak books.
And it is a personal protest...or a private protest...or whatever you want to call it. No one else knows your doing it (until you made a comment about it, that is) except you. So you're doing it to justify the buying of the "terrible book" to yourself. That's probably the definition of a personal protest.
So I never said that you wanted to drive Knaak out of business or ruin him (unless you're some high up in the publishing industry I don't think that would be possible for a single person to do) just that what you're doing doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
Now please calm down...do your breathing exercises like we talked about.

I think QQInsider is right on, 2000 honor per mark simply can't be true. My bet is that there's an accidental third zero there and it will be 200 honor per mark on live.
200 honor makes sense if you consider the Concerted Efforts repeatable quest - that gives just under 1500 honor for 6 marks if it's one of each BG; this would give 1200 honor for 6 marks, regardless of type, which seems quite fair.

Anyone know how much the tabards are going for?

Jeez, I just finally got my first PvP mount the other day. (30 WSG marks? Why not just ask for my kidney? I don't know how it is on other servers, but on mine, Horde only wins WSG one in maybe 15 times. So that's a lot of matches. And I hate WSG. And AV is pretty much a pain in the ass too.) So to go from 90 marks to 50000 honor is ridiculous. Crazy price to next to nothing. I can get 50k honor from a little WG easy. (We ALWAYS win that one.) I wonder what's going to happen with Frostwolf Howler/Alterac Ram.

This right here makes the most sense. They are gonna want to test whether there are any glitches with marks conversion, or selling with pure honor, or practically anything, which makes getting quick honor beneficial on the PTR. More-so they are testing a bunch of PvP features and some people might be transferring non PvP toons. There's a million reasons to make marks convert at 2000 honor ON THE PTR. I'd say this has zero chance going live and in fact even 250 is going to be probably too much. Like someone said, it makes more sense to give more honor when turning in 5 at a time, so when you turn them in one at a time, it would make sense less work means less honor.
Of course Blizzard might be feeling generous and since marks are going the way of the dodo, they might just go ahead and encourage people to get rid of the marks and give us 250 or 300 and be done with them. Lets hope.

Sorry was supposed to be a response to Blaze saying things are always cheaper on the PTR.

Adore these changes, but tbh, I'll be keeping one out of each mark just in case it becomes a Feat of Strength! Can't wai to finally buy my War Raptor ^^

correct me if im wrong, but i didnt se the 2 pvp tabards in there, any idea what the cost of those is gonna be? the mounts went from 30 of each mark (60 total) to 50k honor, would the tabards be more around 30k and 2k?
Bao Mar 2nd 2010 4:44AM
Yes, I thought that was obvious, as I mentioned I'd been gathering Wintergrasp Commendations, and that I WOULD have farmed the needed BG marks for the set, but now I don't have to. Now I'm just gonna pile the wintergrasp commendations on my alt and watch her drown in gear. \o/

I find it hard to believe that we'll get 2k honor per mark, that's just way too much. That means everybody that has done just a little bit of pvp over the last weeks, can go buy him a full Wrathful off-set just like that. And even an off-spec off-set, and so on...
It will be more like 200 honor per mark, that sounds more reasonable.
