Phat Loot Phriday: Medallion of (your Faction)

I mostly offer the Medallions as this week's Phat Loot Phriday because it's amazing how many players miss when a new version of the PvP trinket is released. With Season 8 now on us, it's important to be packing as much resilience as possible. And since these new versions of the Medallion provide the most resilience per-slot, they're a clearly superior choice for anyone who doesn't mind the time to farm the honor.
You can buy this trinket with honor, which means that you'll probably want to get yourself to the closest Wintergrasp or battleground, and get to honor farming. Try not to be that guy who afks through the entire match, though. That's really annoying.
(The picture is a random picture with a trinket theme, because you can not see trinkets on your character.)
Name: Medallion of the Horde/Alliance
Type: Trinket
Attributes:
- Resilience: 153 (1.87% @ L80).
- Use: Removes all movement impairing effects and all effects which cause loss of control of your character. (2 Min Cooldown)
How to get rid of it: To the regret of me every time I delete an old version, the Medallion can not be sold or disenchanted.

Or you can get the one with 0 resilience by doing the 'capture the three points' quest in Hellfire Peninsula.

Which also has a 5 minute CD. So no, don't.
Actually, that's something that bothers me greatly. The BoA trinket is something I ALWAYS make sure to have on alts, but the CD is ridiculously annoying. If they don't want to make it 2 min base because it'll ruin Humans' preciously balanced racial, couldn't they make it change to 2 at level 70 (which is the earliest you can purchase a Medallion)?

If you're early enough in your PVP career that you need to grind honor for the PVP trinket, you should probably get this one until you get your real one, right?

"...including its inherent wrongness that the ability doesn't change to Every Woman for Herself based on character gender."
one would assume it refers to the all-encompassing RACE of man, as opposed to the gender.
anywho, something for all the human players who repeatedly insist that "every man for himself" is a "free" trinket slot, this is not entirely true. Something is given up in trade for the racial, and something is gained, namely the extra trinket slot.
you gain the stat and effect of a new trinket, but lose the stat (resil) of the medallion, while keeping the effect (racial). Furthermore, you trade this all up for having a completely different racial in its place, such as the Orc racial Blood Fury which, while static, compares, in a sense, to the gained ABILITY of the trinket you get to wear, as a human.
tricky.

This is why Escape Artist is the best racial ever. It's not a "free trinket", it's *another* trinket.

the human racial does about half of what a trinket does (the use effect, not the resil). however, blood fury does probably about half a trinket (in that it is a really weak activation), and it doesn't provide the static stats that any PvE trinket with an AP/SP activation would have. so the fact that is is half-a-trinket is pretty fair
however, what it does clearly do is allow for a different kind of trinket to be used. still want the resilience? there are trinkets from wintergrasp with resil as the base stat, and either use or proc abilities. rather add a stamina trinket? that works too.

I know that this is about loot, but since you're brushing by resilience....."With Season 8 now on us, it's important to be packing as much resilience as possible".......does anyone know what the current cap is? I know when Wrath came out, they made it very high (1200 at the time, unreachable) so that they would have room to grow for future seasons. Just wondering if this is still the cap (since it is now quite easy to reach), or if they raised it with the recent buff to the stat.

I see gains on resi on the tooltip from 1230-1320, so I'm guessing that the cap is higher than 1320. I heard 1400 somewhere, but can't provide any evidence for that.
