If you're interested in PvP battlegrounds, you're probably aware that patch 3.3.3 is turning the system on its head -- completely removing Marks of Honor as well as increasing honor gains across the board. Have a bank full of the things? Well, we've got good news for you -- at present on the PTR you can convert them to honor at the rate of 2000 honor per mark. Combine that with the recent explanation of Wintergrasp mechanics and what have you got? A lot of excitement about PvP battlegrounds. Here's what's making the rounds of the blogosphere.
- Cynwise thinks now's the time to be running battlegrounds and collecting Marks of Honor.
- Holypaladin.net talks about Wintergrasp imbalance.
- Birdfall discusses seeing the opposite faction as people.

So if I am reading the HolyPaladin post correctly, he's QQing not over an imbalance with Wintergrasp, but how his side won't get off their butts and participate. I don't think giving siege engines 400k+ hits and double damage will fix anything if the core problem still remains. That is, people not participating in WG.

If the pics from the PTR are anything to go on the mounts will cost 50,000 honor now.

Oh joy! I've got 99 conquest emblems left over from my grind for the conquest tabard that were only good for a daily that involved doing Arathi Basin.

Yea but that 2000 honor can only be for 80 right? Because that would not make any sense if say I could get that much per mark for my level 40+ mage, heck what about a level 19? I mean, it would be awesome, but I don't see blizz doing that. Did they raise the honor cap at all as for as that goes? Or will we have to do what we have been doing, buying stuff and stocking up with our honor before we hit our desired level lol

I wouldn't be surprised if that 2000 honor figure is deliberately inflated on the PTR, to let character who are copied over get some gear faster.

I don't get what having a bank full of stuff ( which I do) has to do with Marks or anything else related to this post. Could you explain that?

The marks, though they say 2k, are actually giving 1850 honor.

I'd call this very good news. I'd like to collect the PvP mounts, but I just can't bring myself to run enough WSGs and ABs. Alliance sucks on my BGs (or I just suck, so knows), so it's always a slow, drawn-out loss. I'd MUCH rather buy them with honor, which I can grind in WG or AV or wherever.

I really hope they put in a reliable way to gain Arathi Basin rep (Defilers or... I forget the Alliance one). It's one of the coolest looking tabards in the game, but is almost impossible to get these days.

I wonder if un-cashed in BG Marks will be wiped before Cataclysm? Would be a great way to get a head start on gearing up if they werent.....
But I imagine they probably will be.
