I for one hate having mana on my hunter, it's such a pain...so I am hopeing focus is a hell of a lot better. With that said, until I see for myself and play around with all these new changes I am uncertain of how "great" it will be. Here's to the best!

I had an issue with keeping my mana up when I dusted my hunter off and started to run instances and then heroics. Then I got either a Shadow Priest or Pally Tank in the group and I really didn't have any issues with mana. More so with the Shadow Priest than the Pally. Even a Ret Pally though would help a lot.Ran a few 10-mans with him so far, and if there was either of those three or a Frost mage (once) or Destro Lock in the raid, mana was not an issue. Without any one of those, which is quite easy in a 10-man, then I would have to pop Viper on, but not for a great length of time. The reversion (don't be fooled, they are going back to what it was in the beta with the Focus thing here, they just didn't have enough time to test it) to Focus, well if it goes in with how it's announced so far, I will shelve the hunter. The one thing that I really don't like is the forcing to use Steady Shot in order to increase the regen. Now, if Haste can make up the difference, then maybe I will continue to run a hunter.I know that Steady is a shot that is in the rotation for hunters, but I just do not like the idea of being forced to use one ability. Also, if Blizzard keeps up with the movement heavy fights as they have been (save for a few), then it could be quite bad from what I've seen so far.

What... You do know, most hunter rotations include 2-3 steady shots per cycle? (Yeah yeah, priority system but you know what I mean). So really, it won't force you to use steady any more unless you're completely starved for focus (haste thing I guess).

I see some ridiculous comments on here today for some reason, probably the word Cataclysm is huntard-bait or something, but this one takes the cake. So you're going to quit hunter because you're "forced" to use steady shot? You mean you can get away without using it atm and not be kicked for doing shite dps?PS. Don't play a tank. You'll be "forced" to use your highest threat abilities. Or a healer either, might "force" you to use your best heals. Or anything really.

I'm confused: With AotV, Viper Sting, and Replenishment, I've never had mana issues while raiding. In PvP I certainly run out of mana - particularly in BGs - but rarely in a raid or world setting. What would be "a hell of a lot better." If you're tired of running out of your special ability resource - be it mana or focus or whatever - I can almost guarantee that Blizzard will balance resource mechanics to continue to require management to some degree.I'm just confused by why this change matters so much, since mana and focus are just two different methods of accomplishing the same thing: Managing a resource pool in order to use our abilities.
