I wonder how many people will actually be turning the buff off.
Nick Mar 2nd 2010 12:51PM
Sweet! As somebody who only ever PuGs ICC 10 this will be a welcome change.
Maybe now we'll actually beable to get past the plauge wing before we wipe twice and half the raid rage quits...
Ebon Plaguebringer Bringer Mar 2nd 2010 1:08PM
I would love to be in more PUGs that get past LDW in 25man :/
Jinx Mar 2nd 2010 12:54PM
Is there any reason other than self-challenge to choose not to accept the buff? In other words, are there any penalties for accepting it?
Luthielle Mar 2nd 2010 1:08PM
I also want to know this... seems silly to turn off the buff unless there is a benefit to running without it. Even if you can do it without the buff, wouldn't you still want to get thru the encounters that much smoother...?
Once anyone figures this out, please share with us! :D

"Even if you can do it without the buff, wouldn't you still want to get thru the encounters that much smoother...?"
Not if your guild is preparing themselves for the heroic version. :)

^This.
There is actually much debate going on in my guild right now as to whether we should have the buff off or on tonight.
OneMHz Mar 2nd 2010 12:59PM
Any idea if you can still get achievements with the buff on?
Matticus Mar 2nd 2010 1:03PM
Presumably, yes. Stuff like Boned or the other boss specific achievements can still be gained.
But, there might be some really specific Lich King only achievements that must be done without it. I'm not sure if any of the heroic achievements will ding if you do it witht he buff up either. Maybe someone can shed some light on it later on as the days go by.
relmatos Mar 2nd 2010 1:09PM
I hope we can do achievements since I only pug and I dont think they'll want to pug without the buffs.
But I also hope this is not available to the heroic mode. It's supposed to be a hard mode after all.
Also, dont know if this is how it works but there shouldnt just be an option to remove the buff completely. We should also get the option to only get half the bonus if we think that 35% is too easy but 0% too hard.

I'm sure you can still get achievements.
Going into Naxx with T10 gear doesn't stop you from being able to get those achievements...so I doubt they'll start adding hidden additional requirements now.
Dudegar Mar 2nd 2010 1:01PM
Does it work for hard modes as well?
Falcrist Mar 2nd 2010 1:36PM
According to a blue post explaining this buff when 3.3 was coming out... nope! :)
epic Mar 2nd 2010 1:46PM
rta
Nodonn Mar 2nd 2010 1:01PM
Does it work on the heroic versions?
Sloanbone Mar 2nd 2010 1:04PM
In before "nerfed for the casuals..."
Though it would be nice to track it's use since regular vs 30% health, healing, damage buff is a world of difference..
Drooling at the heals on Dreamwalker with 10 stacks and 30% healing buff...
jealouspirate Mar 2nd 2010 1:03PM
Happy about this! I'm really not interested in progression raiding, so buffs that help my periodic pugs will always be welcomed.
Magnett Mar 2nd 2010 1:04PM
I love that screenshot.
"BOOYAH ALLIANCE MY HAIR AND CHIN HAVE COME TO HELP YOU"
"Go home."
Bill Mar 2nd 2010 1:07PM
I laughed when I saw the dialogue. Varian Wrynn tells you that he's traveled half way across the Eastern Kingdoms from Stormwind and the full longitude of Northrend and then he's told that nobody wants his help. Good luck to anybody who tries to tell that to Garrosh that.
(cutaia) Mar 2nd 2010 1:20PM
Haha...at least they told him to go **** himself politely.
