Gilnean Like Me is the newest movie by legendary machinima creator Gnomechewer. It is the story of an army of Forsaken who seek to raze Gilneas, only to discover something far more vicious than they were expecting. This video is absolutely astounding and is a lot of fun to watch. The visual work by Gnomechewer is riveting, and the way he lets his story unfold is clever and perfectly paced.
I think this kind of story is going to be more common when Cataclysm is released, but I'm glad Gnomechewer is helping to lead the charge. His instinct for visual techniques brings a lot of moodiness and horror to the tale of Gilneas, and helps frame the story of Greymane for new-to-lore audiences. If you have a friend who asks about the story of Gilneas, I think this movie is a great place to get them started. It not only shares bits of the story, but it communicates the genre of the lore.

agreed this is one of the best music vids ive seen and it didnt include some lady gaga rip or some damn bloodelf saying hes thug i wish i could find a high quality version so i can make a awsomesauce desktop backgrounds
Very impressive, well made and a nice mix of techniques. I like the screen-splitting parts, and it's nice that it looks like it's being played in an old cinema, very few movies have that. It's also very impressive how Gnomechewer used some non-warcraft bits in his movie, like the cells. The music was very nice, although I had expected a "Bohemian Like You" with different lyrics. Very awesome!
They're both races that are absorbed with helping their own kind. Orcs, Trolls, and Tauren generally want what's for the greater good, each Blood Elf wants to fulfill their own personal needs, and Undead generally have the feel of wanting what's best for all undead, not neccessarily for their faction or personal gain like their allies; I think Worgen, or more specifically, Gilneans are the exact same way and would have been a race that could relate to that. Also, both of them come from human ties, twisted into monstrosities, I think they would have understood and complimented each other really well. They would have made perfect partners in crime.
Nice movie, pity the soundtrack is like someone took a chainsaw to my ears.
My allegiance to Gilneas began in WC2, when they were nothing more than a flag and a paragraph in the game booklet. It's only grown since Cataclysm was announced. My worgen fury warrior is going to chop up so many zombies. :)
The instrumentals were nice. The vocals were just...ugh. My ears will not thank me. ( Don't you look at me in that tone of voice. Downranking an opinion is fail. Don't be fail. )
Where this video really shines is the visual effects. They are stunning. I particularly like the shot at 3:17.

Zomg it's not Blood Elf rap!
On a more serious note that was badass! Gnomechewer always delivers with great movies and this is no exception. Everything fit together perfectly.

IMHO, Worgen and Forsaken were made to go to war with each other.
It just feels....right.
It just clicks.
Can't really explain it.
Anybody else feel that way?

Honestly, not really.

Because everyone’s wanted to see what a zombie/werewolf monster fight would look like.

Very cool video. Unfortunately it doesn't help my already painful anticipation of playing a Worgen.
Worgen Holy Priest! So cool.

Holy Worgen Priest, Batman!
