Gilnean Like Me is the newest movie by legendary machinima creator Gnomechewer. It is the story of an army of Forsaken who seek to raze Gilneas, only to discover something far more vicious than they were expecting. This video is absolutely astounding and is a lot of fun to watch. The visual work by Gnomechewer is riveting, and the way he lets his story unfold is clever and perfectly paced.
I think this kind of story is going to be more common when Cataclysm is released, but I'm glad Gnomechewer is helping to lead the charge. His instinct for visual techniques brings a lot of moodiness and horror to the tale of Gilneas, and helps frame the story of Greymane for new-to-lore audiences. If you have a friend who asks about the story of Gilneas, I think this movie is a great place to get them started. It not only shares bits of the story, but it communicates the genre of the lore.
Check out Gilnean Like Me, and let us know what you think!

Cendrekai and above: Please note that there are a lot of us over the age of 30 who have loved werewolves for a very long time and consider Jacob to be as much of an abomination to werewolves as Eddy is to Vampires. I also only learned about the whole, "furry" phenome from CSI. ;-p
Please, PLEASE don't ever compare my beloved Worgen to ... "them." (read: Blood Elves) /shudder
Now, if they make Worgens abhorrently-arrogant and give them a laugh that makes me want to pierce my own eardrums with a letter opener, then I may have to rethink my opinion. ;)
All of that being said, yes there will be a flood of idiots playing them too.
Excellent work. I really enjoyed it. Though I fear this will be the best of the lot when it comes to Worgen. I am expecting the onslaught of the new BELF Rap videos, Emo Worgen.
I really enjoyed this. I liked the silent film look merged with the hypermodern splitscreening. The two played together very nicely- the "textured" look so prevalent in modern graphics really plays so nicely with an antique aesthetic, I really loved the results.
The way the text and the lyrics meshed made me rethink a lot of comments I've made that are negative towards the "music video" format- this was really a story supported by a song, and I love the results.
This is probably one of my favorite gems off of WoW Moviewatch.
Somehow, I expect upon hearing the news of the Worgen being released, the Dark Lady will be heard to mutter in horror "By the Light...what have I done?"
This was freaking amazing! I love the worgens. But most of all i love about this video is the way it was made..With gnomechewer goodness I've always liked this guys videos and i love this video and the song!
This and Blind have got to be my two favorite movies you guys have ever shown. Very creative and very enjoyable to watch. Thank you so much for sharing!
Wow, this was...pretty damned awesome. I love the style, and I followed a link to the song's original video-- very good WoW-ified version! I also have now discovered a new group I like, having never heard TV on the Radio before this video. At the band's website now listening to the music there, and really enjoying it. :)

Absolutely fantastic.
With a little bit of luck this can supplant Hide and Seek as the movie you get tips about every few weeks for the foreseeable future.

Given Blizzard's love of using famous quotes/pop culture I think one of these would be more in order:
1: "Gentlemen, we have just kicked a rabid dog."
2: "I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."

The top-hat wearing Gilneans remind me of Daniel Day-Lewis in Gangs of New York.
Very cool.

Excellent work. The visual effects are especially appealing, and the music was a nice change of pace from the typical sort. Looking forward to more.

I love TV on the Radio, and thanks to this video, I know what he was actually saying in this song :D.
It's a win-win-win situation!
