I have read every novel, comic, rpg book and manga up to Stormrage (which I picked up yesterday). Yes, I am a lore nerd. While I agree Knaack isn't the greatest writer ever by a long shot, I really don't understand the pure hate that is directed at him. Maybe it's because the first work of his I read was the War of the Ancients Trilogy, which is arguably his best WoW work. (I will admit that Night of the Dragon made me cringe in a few spots.) Honestly, the only truly HORRIBLE piece of WoW writing I have read was Cycle of Hatred. What a steaming pile. I try to forgot that novel was ever written at all.I do think that Christie Golden is by far the best writer to be involved in the WoW franchise. Her work has been a truly pleasant surprise! I am so glad that she is writing the Cataclysm novel.

Exactly. Someone above said they read Star Wars novels and hates Knaak? What's up with that? Knaak is not worse than the average author of Star Wars books. Of course, there is the rare exception that proves the rule, but most franchise books are trash. This isn't much different in regards to WoW.
