WoW Moviewatch: ROFLBear Promo

ROFLBear is going to be a daily series, with five new episodes each week. This is an incredibly aggressive and ambitious schedule, of course. If each new episode of ROFLBear is as fun as this promo, though, we should probably expect ROFLBear to become a huge, new force in the World of Warcraft community. No one else is offering this kind of daily video content, which would mean Myndflame is once again forging new territory. I'm very excited for the group, and wish them great success in this new effort. It looks great so far.

Hmmm, a promised WoW machinima..... must mean it will never be released or delayed for three years.
This is why Blizzard uses the word "Soon", l2soon people.

Promos are generally a bad idea for something like machinema. And because the irony is super thick today, if anyone should know that Promos are a bad idea, it's Myndflame. Illegal Danish 2 was a debacle, a poorly scripted (I'm being generous with the term "scripted" here) stream-of-consciousness-masquerading-as-plot nightmare that in no way resembled the promo that we all sat with bated breath for literally years, watching and rewatching as the project came closer and closer to the vaporware line without actually ever hitting it. And the fundraiser controversy on top of it...why does noone remember this? Illegal Danish 1 was awesome, but too many people seem eager to cut Myndflame a free pass forevermore because of it.
I wish Myndflame the best of luck, but I'm going to continue ignoring them until I hear news of actual, quality, finished product coming out of them again.

I'm just happy they're one of the few machinima-makers that don't resort to making belf music videos, and the strong pre-TBC vibes that come with their videos. :D

Aye, i do like the feel of their stuff...when it actually happens. Problem is they've done little of substance since Illegal Danish 1.
If this daily thing indeed happens, and is quality, I will declare "Yay, Myndflame the Awesome is back!" Until then, I reserve any and all enthusiasm. And until then, I think statements like "Their work is always funny, creative, and interesting." are giving far more credit than what's due.

I can't wait for this. I luvs me TEH funneh and the myndflame peeps tend to deliver on this.
I could see myself wanting a ROFLbear t-shirt. I kinda craved one from Theory of a Death Knight.
Now... if only Snaky's Journal would update!
