I just got this achievement two weeks ago! I won the Stranglethorn Fishing Tournament, total surprise to me. All I had left to do was the Lurker Above and Deadliest Catch, which were cake, and I got the title :)

I remember I caught the Dark herring on like the second day of WotLK when I was getting fishing up to 450. Lucky!

I also got Old Crafty in phased Org before they patched it... all I have left to do is get a Queenfish to put a line on my Arcanite pole and catch Old Ironjaw.

Oh and win the Kaluak pirate ring. And SFT again for the hook... ok I got a lot more to do.

I love fishing though!
