Around Azeroth: I believe I can fly
Today's submitter, Sölöman of Misha, might want to consider that he's 'solo' because his name makes it freaking impossible for anyone to invite him to a group. Anyway, solo-dude (not typing those alt-codes again) decided to take a spin around the Borean Tundra to celebrate his new epic flying skill. But lag conspired against him, making his Bronze Drake disappear and sending him into a swim-flying pattern around Warsong Hold.
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, Val'kyr on mounts, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran. Older screenshots can be found here.

A D&D party is climbing a rocky mountain path. The last to climb is a Dwarf in full plate armor and with huge battle axe.
DM: *rolls dice* "As you almost reach the safe area, the Dwarf's feet slip and he falls into the abyss. You actions?"
Dwarf Player: "I start flapping my hands in the air really fast."
DM: "Ooookaay, roll me a 1d20."
Player: *rolls a natural 20*
DM: "Roll again."
Player: *rolls another natural 20*
DM: *rolls a natural 20 with his own dice*
DM: *sign* "As the rest of the party turns around, they see their Dwarf warrior slowly rise out of the abyss, flapping his hands really, really fast..."

dismounting mid-air always makes that appear for a second or so for me

I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly

sometimes when I'm too fast jumping into the air after summoning my mount, it won't start to flap it's wings, and does so until i stop moving forwards. Look kinda fun.

When the world needed a hero, one man rose alone to the challenge.
His name... was Soloman!!
Brought back to life by a terrible curse he swears to uphold peace, justice, and the Horde way.

I've always thought they sould add a mountless mount. Instead of "learning" a mount, you learn how to swim through the air. It'd be awesome if you could do this on purpose.

Ehh ... I have to say most of the time when you get the swimming in air thing it looks really goofy. But I've thought for a while that mages ought to have something like this as a class mount - levitation through force of will. Although I'd just have them float rather than actively swim about. It'd look cooler, and it'd be counterproductive to flail your arms and legs about when you're busy concentrating really hard on keeping your body in the air.

Yeah, that would be cool, too.
Perhaps we can all learn a "flying" mountless mount that only works in the new "underwater" zones. That way the swimming wouldn't seem out of place.

A few days ago on my shaman I went to Moonglade for the Lunar Festival. The watcher glitched out so it appeared like I was swimming through the air. It was really strange.

When I dream I'm flying, it's usually with a swimming-type motion ;)
Elizabeth, let me introduce you to the joys of "copy/paste"!

You'll believe that dead people can fly...
